Thank you! Let's see if I can improve the looks a bit in the final revision! :D
Thanks, man! But yeah, I agree, 16 colors on screen, 16x16 pixel tiles, it's tough! Sometimes I would like to not make it look like an NES game anymore because it's limiting, but I'm gonna do my best with what I have, there will be time later for games with less limitations :D
Thanks for the feeback, guys! Heh, the 2nd image looks a bit weird because that zone is still unfinished (reason why it looks so sqaurish) but also that's the Forest Maze I talked about on the previous post. So those are the top of the trees not grass, and when you get under those you enter a room and the rest of the screen is darkened. Kind of hard to explain, but you will see it in motion soon. Thanks, I'll try to tone down the contrast on the grass to see how it looks that way! :D
Hey, thank you! Yeah, I still have plans to port it to XBLIG. It won't be exactly the same game. I'll add some more rooms, an extra boss and graphics will be redrawn on HD. Thanks for the feedback, the jumping is one of the most common complains I've got so I'm definitively fixing that among other lil problems, let me know if you know about something else. Thanks, cheers!
haha you reminded me of those old Capcom NES game boxes that said State of the Art - High Resolution Graphics. Yeah, right! XD
Thanks! Should be out soon! Enjoy the upcoming updates in the meantime!
Thank you! More screens in the next days, don't miss them! :D
Thanks, more screens on the next devlog update! So you keep that sweetness high, heh heh
Thanks! We are working hard on this. It won't disappoint, promise!
Thanks! We are working very hard to make an awesome game, check the weekly updates we'll be posting here :D
Thanks! I know it's hard and fast but hey, how many games this kind you know that are like that? I wanted to make something a bit different. I'll port it to Xbox after I'm done with my next project. It will be an improved version, I'll make it easier too! So maybe you enjoy it there better :D And you can try a game maker before jumping to coding, it's a good way to test the waters before commiting to learn a programming language. You may find it enjoyable! Give it a try!
