You have a good point, I honestly try and stay the hell away from Forums and Social Media where these types of unsavory people you mentioned are present.

Welcome. I've been on edge against such individuals since the 2010s. They've be persistent and prevalent, tarnishing any entertainment haven they can reach. When one spends a decade fending against them, they tend to develop PTSD from it, like veterans spending days defending a base during their service in war...
Long story short, the gaming industry is under occupation by these individuals since 2012. Up until now, the modding world seemed to be the only medium untouched by them. Now even that is unsafe it seems...
