Back here again after 4 years. Still in alpha. I like that the patreon page is still up. I also like that if I pay +20 per month I'll have access to the full game when it releases. I'll be back in 4 more years. At that point i'll likely have kids and I will have reached the pinnacle of my career.

I made the first respawn mod and wrote how to do it because I wasn't going to update the mod until today. Just seen there is a few of them now. I didn't realise. Just uploaded this without looking. I changed the same time interval line the other creators did. So yeah the same more or less.

This is an update to the respawn mod I made in 2019 before I stepped away from gaming. You can check my profile. I also explained in the comments on that addon how to do what I did.

Interesting, all this does is change the respawn timer to every six in game hours. Should not affect amount of spawns or number of enemies that spawn and there should be some reprieve before next respawn as Anomaly has slower timescale than vanilla game. This is a really basic edit that does nothing complex like that due, in no small part, to my limited scripting capabilities. Thanks for the feedback and giving it a shot.

It doesn't add spawns just respawns all dead enemies every 6 hours.

There are some really good mods out there already for this. Anomaly is one such example that allot of other people have mentioned. Can't say much for multiplayer though.

You did a really good job. I hope you don't feel bad. You and the team behind this mod have already made a major impact on Stalker modding which I believe was the aim behind this mod based on previous articles. Good luck in your future endeavours.

To be honest I thought COC was just supposed to be a building block for other modders. I'm surprised this mod was developed as far as it was on it's own.

I think the main issue is the desire to make something perfect or the expectation of perfection hence the constant drive to implement new and improved features and content when it's no longer even necessary. I think the trap here is that the team put pressure on themselves to add more and more rather than just keeping it simple and refining what they have.

I think the team would have been much happier just adding quality of life improvements, bug fixes and increasing stability rather than reworking everything and constantly adding completely new features. Sometimes what you've got is what you need. From what I can see the team behind this mod achieved their aim. That should have been enough.

Sorry for late reply. I didn't see your comment. You can use Notepad +. Download it then open the smart folder within config/scripts and then edit the LTX file. Highlight respawn_idle = 84600 (or whatever the value is) and then go onto search and click on find. Then click on find all and enter the value you would like to replace the original code with. Then select the directory where you want to replace all lines with that code. Then it should do it all at once. Took me about 10 minutes (I went through the scripts to check the values as well) that's pretty much what my mod is.
As for the value itself the respawn time is in seconds. So 21,600 seconds is 6 hours (my value) for 1 hour it's 3,600 seconds. Apologies if you already knew all that however I hope it's helpful.

Apologies for the incorrect information in the reply above. It will work however it won't include anything that was changed with the Beta updates which I'm assuming had things added to it (don't know for sure because I didn't check). I've updated the mod now anyway for BETA 2.4 so it's at least current. You can just delete the old scripts and replace it with the new set.

Nope. I tested it on a current save and it worked throughout the duration of my entire playthrough. The only thing that's modified is the respawn time. I can't see it affecting anything really and it hasn't in my case.

24 hours for some spawns. Even longer for other spawns. I made it so every squad and mutant respawns every 6 hours.

I dont know what mod your playing but i can easily die from enemies in this mod. Especially when caught out in the open. The AI is really good. They even ambush you and react really well in gunfights.

Sorry to be a pain but im more curious now than anything. Is the timescale tethered to another script? I have attempted to change it and ive done everything right as far as i can see. Including starting new game. Game time is still 4x normal speed. I changed the respawn times of smart terrain to six hours and that appears to be working (im impatient and i like lots of combat dont judge) so now im really curious why changes to the alife script arent coming into effect. I would really appreciate any advice here. The timescale is too slow for me and i dont like waiting around for emissions and stuff to spawn artefacts. Thanks.

The AI are a bit blind in this mod. I can understand the tweaks made for stealth however I am literaly jumping up and down only a short distance in front of a hostile bandit and they don't see me until I'm right up behind them. This is immersion breaking. The AI should see you on an open field very easily. Is there a way to tweak this?

Google Chrome, also my internet sucks. Sometimes the download stops halfway through and it says the download is complete when only half has been downloaded. Then I have to re-download the whole thing and hope it doesn't happen again.

I'm sorry to be a pain but I'm still getting the same hidden dialog crash. It's happening as I change the game options but another weird thing I noticed is that it always changes my graphic options after I restart the game. I normally max everything out on enhanced DX9 with SSA0 and dof disabled after I launch the game again though the graphic options get put back down to medium. (I keep it on medium and change the options from there.) and it goes without saying I really appreciate your hard work with the patches.
