This units basic ability should be artillery support, but like you said it could be a devastating close range barrage unit as well. Edit the ability button to do the short range barrage.

We don't need to live in a world of money, there are people out there that are trying to make the world free of money, search for "The Venus Project". They're looking for in a sense modders, programmers, designers, etc.

Modders do what they do freely because they love the game and/or modifying things in general. STALKER is absolutely a gem polished by numerous modding teams and soloists alike. I hope this game and mod continues to see improvement in the future.

Ah, I see, here's hoping for BW3 LoL. At least you're able to add special troops, what did you have in mind to balance out the continued use of regular troops vs special-ty troops? That's sad about the unused model unable to be used, would've loved the additional models to add more to the game.

Ah, the quote "Build it and they will come" comes to mind. So if you start introducing more game mechanics and variety to those games that Valherran is talking about, more players will be interested in trying those games out to see what the growing buzz is all about, and if it's good buzz, more people will join the player base that you've created for RA scene.

I didn't know we could discuss things that need improvement for the other games as I thought they were being playtested internally before anything major was released to the player base.

Just a couple of things I would love to see in TD as an example, please let me know if you want more suggested improvements:

-MLRS/Tomahawk/Other artillery can fire far beyond their "binocular" sight range (Accuracy dependent on range or tech type and rank) but needs a "spotter" (sniper)
-Sniper camouflage while not moving/shooting depending on rank (maybe elite has all 3) can call in paratroopers/A-10 airstrike/Off-map artillery etc.
*Ofcourse snipers cost a lot, need a lot of training and are slow...ahem methodical in movement to need APC/Chinook transport involvement.

Is this a valid improvement?

Happy to hear that! I'm also curious about what else you want to add to this unique game, any inspiration from other strategy games? More spells are always welcome, I know Majesty 2 comes close to this in terms of spells. Are there any other play elements you'll be adding in as well (military units...like a champion given special abilities by the player, more creature variety...like Lions, Tiger and Bears...oh my, tower defences...wall types, traps, exploding cannonball, etc.)? Sorry, I got carried away... XD

I think Firerain Spell should come from volcano wonder and Meteor-Strike Spell should have earthquake wonder seeing as how meteors can cause earthquakes while volcanoes can literally spew firerain. Sorry if this is nitpicky, my brain logic picked up on that part, can't wait to try this mod out though! Thank you for improving this game. :)

Yes, I do like new things to spice up the game a bit... wouldn't it be interesting to see what new strategies could take place with such changes? To modify and expand the game is to add on new functions, options, assets that were not otherwise present in the original game. Your Hero switch was clever and I apologize for not reading the description. The additions I suggest are based on the logic of what might actually take place in reality. I unfortunately lack as much time to mod, I'd rather squeeze in a game or two whenever I have time to kill. I was hoping your two version mod would incorporate the ideas I'd hope you'd like enough to implement into your mod with full credit to you for work and thought on if you wanted to add them in or not. I'm still just the cheerleader. XD Hope to play your next version when it's ready. :)

So Far:
-Zoom Out feature + 1080 resolution
-Scaling down the actual units to fit the current building sizes would also help realism.
-With most people's current day comps we should be able to run the game with dozens of towers and at least 100 in population size.
-Would be cool to have the spirit warrior have the ability to go invisible, and since it's a spirit regenerate health completely. Maybe only units with magic and fire can hurt it. Or it's time in this plane is limited and loses health like a zombie over time. I think zombies should be able to stay permanently until their body is destroyed just with not much health as their only strength should be numbers and "lucky" hits. Necromancer's Zombification ability should have greater range. Also, yea I feel it's better that heroes and Necromancer should always come back from the dead.
-Buildings should be a lot tougher to destroy taking actual siege style weapons to destroy. I know by saying that keeping the wolf clan away from your base takes necessary extra precaution since even their basic units wield siege-like weapons, but that's their clan's specialty anyhow.
-Hero Kill Ratio could/should be able to take on 3-5 basic/2-4 combo (more then one dojo)/1-2 multiple/elite/hero units depending on who they are and who they face in battle.
-Ninjas can lay mines as well just not as many...they don't have the heft that cannoneers do. Maybe you can tack on "Blinding Flash" as another ability they have.
-Would be cool is Druids cool heal their buildings when they attack it.
-Teppo's Rockets need to be beefed up, they are exploding rockets afterall.
-Where's Budo? Flaming Bhudha was a favorite... remove destroy button?
-Where's the lotus hero that builds helpers? LoL I seem to miss those unique heroes.

LoL, that's the spirit! 2 versions sound great although double the workload. I'm sure everyone would agree for you to upgrade the ninja and monks. Monks were historically trained in hand to hand combat while ninjas were more versatile and engaged in indirect combat (add bow ability XD), espionage, ambush etc. It's too bad about the limited slots as I had other units abilities in mind as well :( I'll take your compromise though ;p especially on the AI. It would be great if the other BR modders could work together with you adding in their work would cut down on the work for the best mod BR could possibly have. I'm happy to cheer you on and improving a game we love to play, happy modding! :)

Hi shmouver,

I'm amazed this gem has a modder, thank you for choosing to make this a better game. I'm just wondering if my suggestions are doable to begin with, such as:

-Since PC's are a lot more powerful now, the population cap would be able to be increased to a more "battle" sized army then an angry mob looking for a fight style play.

-Abilities, I'd love to see more abilities per unit, I find the ninja and monks should have more powerful tactical abilities, like ninjas can "assassinate" single targets by creeping up to the intended target and exposing themselves when carrying out the attack. Naturally, heroes & monks would be the only types immune to this ability because they are skilled enough to sense their presence. Going into and out of stealth should have a stun effect added to it as well as a separate stun/poison/disorientation skills. They should also be able to lay traps like mines or new types of traps. I'm not sure if there are day/night cycles, but ninjas should be deadly at night. Maybe towers can detect them, or only with a hero in them? The monk is a counter but should also be remembered as a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield being able to take on 3-5 regular units depending on their abilities. Group meditation heals/replenishes stamina/cures poison/temporarily increases speed, defense, and the power of allies.

I could go on and on but if you think about games like warcraft, starcraft, dotas/mobas etc. The abilities are endless.

-Smarter AI, not only for computer opponents but think about the "Majesty" game where units would activate their abilities at a smart/random time during a fight instead of the player micro-managing every single unit.

-graphical updates would be nice along with scale realism, not units about the size of the buildings or trees.

There's more but I'll keep this short. I'm hoping that at least some of what I said is doable, but thank you again for improving this game thus far. May you continue to have fun modding this game. :)

Hi, yes v8.1. Thank you for saying that you'll continue to work on it. "End" meant no additional story lines for the player to take on after the main game has ended. So instead of just open world play, the player could take on new story mode scripts that would take you to previously underused or new maps that the main game/story never had. Meet new NPCs, obtain new items, engage in new game-play modes such as expanded faction wars, survival mode, search and rescue, raid sorties, other random events such as military helicopter assaults or ground extermination squads on stalkers/bandits/mutants. Just a lot more immersion into the zone, I completely agree with your quality over quantity comment, so more or less wanted to know if the mod was finished or if more of the above would be in the works for updated versions of your mod. Apologies for any misunderstandings.

So "complete" and no longer receiving updates such as add-ons, additional new features, experimental additions for greater immersion or evolving the game for even more depth/options on how to complete or stay in the zone after the main game has ended? I know there are other games out there that already provide this, just wanted to know if you'd introduce your own version of the STALKER world to all those who still play it. Thank you for making this mod.

Hope it's Greenlit geotavros! Would love to see the the added items/weapons completed & refined along with more unique items and weapons added to the game. Could you add the jump boots and ...teleport?... items to the item selection menu? Could you make an item/s that enables stealth/camouflage until firing/moving and add a certain monster that can detect that ability & possibly stealth itself as well? It would go great with the sniper weapon.
People use the turret as a blockade in certain places, could you add an item that has multiple barrier charges that could act like a customizable wall? Smoke/flash bomb items that has a combination or single use of stun/poison/slow/conceals the area?

Eh... sorry overdid it... yes this is a solid game still worth playing friend me if you still play or want to play.
