the most difficult thing about the AI is that most people don't understand how to play. the style of gameplay is massively different to generals, and anyone trying to play it like generals will find it hard.

as such we're going to be providing some pretty extensive tutorials with the NVA release so you can understand each unit and enjoy the mod to it's fullest.

I like the list in that it is promoting some of the less mainstream games. But honestly, I thought the editors choices were going to be about "what's the most fun to play" having played AoC, ES and Flipside, i must say that the gameplay for ALL of those isn't very deep at all, fun to play for perhaps an hour or two, but not exactly what I'd call deep.

Good to see that Zero Hour hasn't been totally forgotten about, (though thats not the mod i'd have chosen :P), well done to the shockwave team anyway.

If it were up to me, I wouldn't include unreleased mods either. I'd rather come here and find 5 great new mods to play than 3 great new mods and 3 other mods that I just have to wait for. Whats more, you can't tell fromt the ideas and graphics of a game if the gameplay, that actual "fun" is going to be there at all.

Paranoia and E.Y.E both look awesome.

mike, I don't know what you're on about...

i mean, please elaborate as to how empires is a licencing rip off? There arn't ANY other games out there in the same universe as the empires universe, and there arn't any commercial or modded games that are rts/fps hybrid and give players vehicles. I'm just picking that one because i know it's especially inventive.

have you even played the mods you're insulting, or just looking at the pictures and claiming that they suck.

mike why are you angry? people vote for what they think is fun. if you make an origional game but it's actually not as fun as the one where you run people down in a tank or get all sorts of realistic guns you've seen in movies, then people are going to vote for the one they enjoy the most.

and some of the games in that list ARE very origional, the gameplay of some of them is nothing like any other game or mod out today.

This is definately my favorite HL1 mod, never had such good times as when playing this. it's like specialists only crazier and more fun
