Hah! Considering the stuff I've seen coming from the Ukraine War, definitely added to the piece I think.

And I understand what you mean with the city destruction part. To me it shows that no matter how much these powers want to fight or go to war, no one really wins once the nuclear missiles start flying.

A very well done piece there, I like seeing all of the modern equipment and skins being put into Empire Earth to give it the accurate touch, mixed with the good use of the Russian and US comms traffic to show how frantic things were becoming in the battle.

I also hope that this eventuality doesn't come to pass either, global events are bad enough as they are without it escalating to that extent.

Another Medieval 2 cinematic that translates really well into Empire Earth. Well done again there mate!

Gotta say it definitely looks that much more impressive with the updated pyramids there, well done on AB13 for providing the model and asset!

Merry Christmas mate! I hope you have a great year ahead your way there too!

Also, liking the latest collection of Digital Age textures from the last couple of days as well, particularly since they give many of those structures that more conventional/familiar but still futuristic kind of look to them.

You've really outdone yourself with the shear variety of skins in these latest packs of yours mate (counting all of the Longswordsmen and Medieval Capitol skins), even getting a few Mesoamerican choices like the Aztec and Tlaxcaltec choices is a nice touch on the lot.

Fair enough on the camera changes, the EE video gets the same franticness of the scene thankfully.

Yeah that was a pretty funny lil bit with the Musketeer "F*** this **** I'm out!". And the Pyramid was a nice touch as well on the Aztec settlement, definitely a thematic addition to the scene.
Also the dude at the end standing next to the Olmec-looking head looked like he was trying to mimic the head lol.

And another that one turned out quite well I reckon, not bad at all in Empire Earth!

Indeed, it was a nice little coincidence by the animation right there, hehe. Another solid recreation here mate.

It's pretty cool you can still tell who's who in this one with the clear colourations, and at the end of the day everyone still gets killed by catapult.

Indeed, yeah there are definitely moments where it stretches things a little, but all in all the battle scenes are quite top notch. The only major exaggeration (and all Hollywood period films do this) was the abundance of fire projectiles depicted in the Siege on Jerusalem, just due to the ability to make and fire such weapons en-masse and in synch would have been quite impractical in the time period.

In terms of video games, a couple of examples I could give could be Age of Empires III (since it's more narrative driven) or Age of Mythology perhaps. For movies, Kingdom of Heaven does have some good battle scenes like the cavalry charge outside Kerak Castle midway through as one?

This one is even better than the Britannia one! Those new camera tricks really made it look and feel close to the OG trailer for M2TW: Crusades, as well as the look of an official Empire Earth cinematic at the same time.

Fair enough there, a remade Crusades intro would definitely be a cool Part 2 in that case. Looking forward to it!

I love the way this one was reframed in Empire Earth, it looks like it could have been in an official campaign mission.
Now we just need the First Jihad cutscene from Medieval 2 Crusades campaign remade in engine.

Hah! I love the recreations of the classic M2TW shots with the scale and jank of Empire Earth. A definite classic.

Still got it in spirit in any case!

And looking at the model design of the Hercules, it reminds me of either the Nod SAM sites from Command and Conquer (all grey appearance). Could also work with a desert skin like those used by the US military.

Appearance-wise it reminds me a lot of the Russian TOS-1. Very nice texturing all around mate, particularly 4 and 8.
