Played the mobile version, and all I can say is I cannot love this enough - the premise is maybe the most original ever, and the execution is perfect! Trump is a pretty lovable character, and as he narrates his journey you get pretty thouroghly engulfed. You just wanna root for the upbeat lil guy =) The art is fantastic and the music is awesome! Gameplay is fluid and very enjoyable. It has been a long time since I have found a game so charming. I recommend this heartilly!

Agreed - Delver is a Very good game. Not fair to knock it because you saw this one first.
This looks very good too, and I'll probably buy in once I see a few more development updates. There's room for multiple awesome retro dungeon crawlers, right?!

Lot of hate in the reviews about the admittedly nasty EA/Origin DRM ******** - that IS a drag and is hands down the biggest detractor from this game. HOWEVER, it is also likely the only real problem with it - it's a very fun and enjoyable game with high production standards and polish. I think the peope rating it a 1 or a 2 are being a little mellodramatic. I hate EA, I hate DRM and these are valid arguements, but the game is quite fun, and while Vanguard could have chosen a better publisher than EA (like... anyone else?) The game is still pretty great.

If your idea of horror is jumpscares, then maybe so... but if you enjoy a deeper more ambient horror - the atmospheric brooding type that works more off psychology than surprise, then there is a long storied tradition of point and click horror games to enjoy - they really can e quite creepy and very unnerving -- its good stuff!! Horror works far better when you scare the deeper consciousness and not just the short term reactionary stuff on the surface... Im totally in!

Looks cool, and I would totally snag this as I adore roguelikes but the price is a bit steep for me - most games like this fall in the 2.50 - 5.00 range.. Really does look nifty though and with the right sale or price cut Ill hop on it!
