Why exactly is FS being ported to a different engine? The one it was originally built on now far surpasses even many modern engines due to the open source-ness of it.

The top 100 seems a bit lacking this year compared to other years. Sure there are a few good ones, but most of them seem like people were going through the list saying "Oh this looks cool; I'll vote for this." without even playing it.

@vovasano: Make sure you have version 1.1 of HW2 installed. If you do, then you'll have to reinstall a clean copy of HW2, then reinstall PDS.

@Kopa_kaboom88: From what it sounds like, you are using the non-.big version of PDS. In that version, IIRC you need to put "-overrideBigFile" in the target box in the properties window of the shortcut. Be careful, that is case sensitive, too. :)

That is not Freespace 3. There never will be a freespace three.

Here are a bunch of reasons why that is (not in any particular order)

1) Interplay owns the Freespace rights, not microsoft, and interplay is going out of business
2) If it wasn't made by Volition, it isn't FS3
3) If you look at the title very closely, that is Starlancer, not Freespace 3
4) Wasn't Starlancer the prequel to Freelancer?
5) Wasn't Starlancer developed and released right after FS1 (if not before?)

I am appalled to think that you thought a game like starlancer was an addition to such an awesome series like Freespace.

I'm the writer, mapper, and coder (if you count table files as codes) of my MOD. Exept for the testers, it's pretty much a one man project.

Opposing Force essentialy IS Half-Life. OP4 is no different from any mod here (pretty much), except that it was officialy released by gearbox, or some company like that.

JEEZ, i can't beelive they managed to suck a reasonable plot out of DOOM. the game is all shoot'em up, only 1 charachter. NO PLOT.
