Proper joystick support is in the plans, but it requires me to make an in-game binding / calibration menu because of the input library I'm using. I can in keyboard support as an alternative to the mouse, but I have a feeling it will be pretty bad. :)

Thanks for the feedback! The intention of the ELITE mod is for if you think you're so badass that you'll never get hit by anything, so it's certainly not the best for all builds.

The difficulty keeps increasing indefinitely, but not in the same way as the level 5 upgrade to "elite" enemies. Those are indeed the final swords. The sword you are thinking of is TRUE DOOM MURDERHEAD, a term borrowed (with permission!) from the Barkleyverse: Kickstarter.com

When I start the game windowed or fullscreen, the mouse gets stuck on the edge and gets reset if I try to move it. I'll try again later on my PC at home. Looks pretty cool, so I hope it works when I get home!

The dungeon goes on infinitely! There's no end. According to my stats, people have gotten as deep as Depth 12.

You're not supposed to start any deeper than 5, so getting messages for unlocking lower depths is indeed an error.

I remember someone saying they had luck using Wine. I am sort of limited by what Unity can give me, but I _do_ know that if I build a Native Client version, you should be able to run the game in Chrome in Linux. I will put it on my to-do list.

This is going to largely be an arcade game, but there are a handful of things in it you might see in RPGs.

- Equipping different swords give you different abilities: you "choose your class" by choosing your sword.
- Enemies will drop "blood coins" you can pick up to heal the team and gain extra lives.

I love the art style! I totally would want to do it for my game (https://www.indiedb.com/games/her-majestys-royal-space-armada), but I don't have the pixel art and UV unwrapping chops for it. I might be able to help, at the very least I am curious about your art workflow.

I agree with iredescent, it's unclear from what I can find what precisely you want to do for the game. Please PM me with some kind of materials (a design doc is fine though I personally hate them ... but some random notes are great!). It looks like a project that has a tight focus and wouldn't blow up into something giant and unfinishable.

Hey, I noticed you are using modified Spelunky sprites / animations, which looks to be completely kosher according to the Spelunky license, so long as you give credit where it's due and the game remains freeware so long as you continue to use the modified sprites.

Anyways, it's looking pretty cool, keep it up!

Good to hear the feedback. I would like to get a free version out before the end of the year. I have a feeling that I'd want to do a commerical release if I managed to get that far since I'd already be spending about 4-5 months on it.

If I can find a way to hook up IndieDB to my tumblr blog or vice versa you can expect a whole lot more updates here.
