I am an apsiring solo Indie developer working alone on his Unity projects. Currently designing and pre-alpha-developing my first commercial game.
This time, Super Smash Bros. Feud is dead and buried for good. For absolute real. I've had my eyes opened by an acquaintance I realized was right.
There is no advantage for me to continue on with the project. There are no rewards at the end of the rainbow and it's just a massive waste of time to put that much work on such a game. I'll feel like all that hard work will have been for nothing, and of no use to me in a future game development career. Especially since Nintendo has been on an anti-fangame purge for a while now. I want to remain in good legal standing.
News is not all bad, though! My one-man indie "studio" is still hard at work on a game I'll actually own. That game will get a profile here when I'm done with the gameplay prototype and have a final map or two made with items and enemies. This game is "Quality-First", so development will take quite some time.
I also have a few ideas for other games in my head. One of them is a 2.5D platforming / beat-em-up, and I have also always wanted to make an actual 2D platformer, being a huge Donkey Kong Country fan. I even have a tournament fighter I want to make, which will come much later.
So I hope everyone is doing all right and I hope to be able to look at other indie projects!
