The video was great! Really liked how you emphasized that it wasn't a jumpscare horror game. Seems like you're getting what we're going after, and that's always good for us. Loved the video too!
Thanks very much for the kind words :) The game still has a long way to go, but it's great to know we're on the right track in the meantime.
It's simply incredible looking. Looks AMAZING!
Wow this is TRULY some great work. Some of the best screenshots I've seen here by far.
Did you ever play any of those old school text based adventures? It's kind of like that, a game that has a story that is dictated by the choices you make throughout.
This is the first bit of the game, a short demo to show how it will play and how the story begins. Lots of events unfold during the story, and it's a really interesting one that Peter's doing a great job with.
Hope that helps out, man! Either way, if it is or isn't your thing, I'm definitely appreciative of you checking it out. I'm the composer of the music, so I like hearing people's thoughts on the project. :)
Thanks to everyone for the positive responses on the soundtrack! Still working hard on upcoming scenes of the game :)
Hey Hyeron, be sure to let me know what happens. I sent you another message specifying that I need one that includes the best email to respond to you with.
Means a lot that you want the soundtrack, and I will make sure you get your copy as fast as is humanly possible. Thanks.
For anyone experiencing the glitch in the soundtrack download, send me a private message containing a screenshot of your receipt. I will personally send you a zip file of the OST in return. Sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for purchasing; it really helps the development of Incursion!
Thank you so much for your interest in the soundtrack! Is it doing this after they've ran the transaction and taken the 5 bucks??
Whoa. OK we will have this resolved asap. Thank you for the heads up!
Thanks for your inquiry, opossums :) Hopefully we will be able to find a way for you to run it.
Thanks for purchasing the soundtrack, Nyammy :) Were you able to get around the 404 issue?
Awesome--great to hear you enjoyed it :)
Glad you liked the graphics in this text-based adventure! :)
That's an interesting point. We can assure you there is no marketing scheme behind the choice to do an 8-bit style game (it would be sweet if we had the money for a marketing team though lol). Plus Ren'py is a great engine for a text based adventure like this one is going to be. Heavy Rain is one of my top favorites, and I like to think of this as a similar type of game, just in a completely different graphical style.
Glad to hear it! The rest of the team are working extra hard, and I will be doing just that on the soundtrack. Thanks for playing!
No idea why this one posted here rather than the other comment that mentioned they were bummed it ended so quickly :)
Thanks, mhugson. I'm a big fan of an objective take on any game, especially one I'm contributing to. I can see your points, which raise really cool ideas for how to improve the development of the game.
That all depends--did you pay the gas bill? XD
Thanks! We'll be working extra hard to make sure it meets your expectations!
For me, that's the best kind of disappointment to read about :) Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for the feedback on that--it's always really nice when someone has neutral expectations on how the game should turn out.
Haha that's an interesting observation. I'm actually a big fan of how Brian's integrating pixeled looks but also taking some liberties such as with the moon. Glad you dig the game anyhow :)
Glad you like what you heard! We'll be working extra hard to make sure the full game is worth the wait :)
Looking really good, Serge. I think the outside fog looks great, and its best level of density might depend on what you run into outside (such as any imaginary creatures). But for just navigation alone, I think it looks great.
Looking nice and creepy!
I'm REALLY getting a kick out of the first person perspective of the aliens. Brilliant work!
Seems as though the link doesn't want to be specific. This is peculiar.
Just started my very first game project with Cube Noir as their composer for their text-based adventure "Incursion". So thrilled to finally be working on a game! Becoming a game composer was one of my goals for this year, and I'm glad to have achieved it early in 2012!

I'm in my second academic year of my Music Production Bachelor's of Science degree. I've scored five independent films in the local film community, and want to make the transition into games. On my soundcloud, there are excerpts of the scores I've composed. I've included brief descriptions of each scene when you click on the individual track. I'm a huge fan of the Mass Effect series, Bethesda games, and Irrational Games' BioShock series. I'm a fan of anything gaming regardless of what genre, so if any of you are looking for a composer, I'd love to see what we could work on together!
