They remind me alot of the combine attack chopper that crops up a few times.

Out of curiosity, what was the solution you guys came up with for the redundancy of some melee weapons? I apologize if I missed that in the article.

As for ammunition, i'm always a fan of basic infinite ammo but limited advance ammo that does a variety of effects. I would recommend if possible having one ammo producing building, but able to swap the types its manufacturing. Danke for the write up, it was very interesting.
