I'd say the "secret" to a successful campaign is essentially, already having an enormous ammount of capital. From what I hear, it takes nearly 20-40k just to get a viable advertising campaigne going where agencies will basically even talk to you... its hard as hell to not come off bitter, regardless of what consumers think. You can have a nearly complete ready for beta level game that takes years to be produced and consumers will still thumb their noses at it simply because they have not had the exposure to it that they expect with their normally saturated, standard spam attack media that they are used to being guided by ubiquitously. People simply dont have the time or dont want to spend the time looking up solid independent developers. They would much rather bitch about IGN reviews and go about their business laping up the crap that is shoveled at them in megacorp game shops, and news outlets, more or less highly paid for suggested youtube junk... the list goes on and on and we all know the "normal" rulers of the realm... That said, I take the mentality of "whatever", screw it!
I say make the game to make the game and to play the games you want to play, because chances are all those highly advertised games are not going to come very close to satisfying those desires, thanks to corporate focus on not ******* people off, basically. Thanks for the great offering and I'll be sure to do my part in spreading the word as much as my little self can. Money aint $#!^ but ho's and tricks.

I suggest you look at the engine running it for some other offerings to the genre. If you need help with that, i'd be more than happy to assist.

Careful with all the lets play's all, there will be no game play left for us late-comers.

Never has any product existed where consumer dilligence was superfluous. Its unfortunate that people become so careless with their expendatures that they need be reminded. That said, this is software, Caveat Emptor is especially applicable, but I wouldnt let that slow me down. If I did, I'd never "play" anything...

If only this could prove proficiency in agri managment to the extent that one could obtain business loans to start an actual farm.
Perhaps this could be repurposed to be a certification program.

How "simulation" is this? How much genetics is involved? Are there crop yield variables that one can and cant effect? Seasonal crop rotation? PH levels that reflect usage and fertalization?
I must admit, I am quite intreagued... Dairy? I guess its time to find some review/LP's...

Wow, um, indeed... I dont know what to say... why did the dev go with this fov? why would he have not already changed it? What would I have to do to increase the fov myself, all this and more boggles my mind as I watched the video. Maybe the dev is agoraphobic?
Its too bad, otherwise I would at least play the demo.

I just cant bring myself to do it at this point, I cant support the making of a game in such a field of view... it kind of makes me feel bad too because im an amature dev myself.
