Yesterday I tried to find the maximum amount of bots on the scene with normal cpu work. Seems this amount was not that expected one ... You may play when 100-150 bots with no freezes but.. Need to try it with many players 50+ So if you have time for it - message me here or email

And other news - seems other systems work more or less good =D

Tons Of Routine

Didn't post anything because of coding and bugs fixing. Make some routine work and nothing to show something exciting. Time and resources... I thought it could take a week or two but took 2 months -_-

If you watch this blog and wait for some news I can say that we are debugging party system and finalize armors. We already have got quest system and bots. Soon we'll start to make stages and game content for nice playing =)

Thinking about how complex should be armors... The more details it has the more time to draw it. Today I just have did a such simple idle animation with quite complex armor. But I don't know if I'm able to make all animations for it. Short post. Just look at this armor.

Some necessary stuff to get it done

Today I have come to the conclusion that I need more stuff in the game and realized that I need to write or show something new to people to be promoted but I couldn’t think up what to post to make this process often and interesting. Despite it has took already 8 months of developing there is still not enough game cycle which capable to immerse a player into the process. All you can do in the game is just buy some things and shoot each other and it will take some minutes. Probably... it's pretty enough for some players =) And I really want to show people my alpha but I can’t… I need to make 1-2 gameplay hours at least. And here the stuff is left me to do:

  • quests, they gotta be simple but binded to the story
  • bots, they gotta be tweakable and spawn on the levels with random configurations(hp, def, damage, aggressive or not)
  • some levels. Here I want to make generated levels but it will be in demo-verion and for alpha will be hand-made in advance levels
  • save-sytem. Players shouldn't lose their stuff =)

It would most likely here match some leaderboards for players. But it will increase a developing time. Now I work on quests and try to bind it with the main story for not looking it falling out of the whole picture. Later I think I will make a prestory and post it here too. But it needs pictures.. Don't wanna post a bare text but.. will see.

A programmer make bots and here a little video how they respond on player's position. Yeah they just start watching you when you’re in their view range. It’s very simple but I really glad to see every little progress of the project

Last Refuge 1st gameplay teaser
