i did exactly this.
step 1, download ntw. great war mod. and 5.1.4 update
step 2, i unzipped mod and combine data folder from mod with ntw data folder in steam folder, i then dropped in the update.
step 3, i then launched the game from launcher that was included in mod
all i see is just a different menu, no tanks, no heavy arty, all old stuff, only different menu. help?
hello, i dragged the unzipped data folder of 5.1 into my data folder and combined them, i also dragged 5.1.4 over into it, i launched from the launcher i got and when i play i see NO difference, only the menu and background video is ww1, everything is still old napoleon. what do i do? i i play thru steam it launches the old vanilla game with no ww1 menu stuff

true but i did some research,and insight ;) their takeing ALOT even most of the doctrines and a few call in/reward units,sad to say,this mod......is being run into the ground,try to out do them,i know itll be SUPER hard,they make a game in 8-12 months,we get a small update every 6 months,sadly,the only way to keep this mod goin,would to be for people who cant get coh2 or its to expensive.but their is a way,you guys can make it focused on weapons never heard or seen before!!!!keep this stuff,but add on aton of cool weird and awesome weapons.thats what i see,but whats your guyses plans?cause we both know,coh2 took this mod and made it into a game,with legal rights and paper work.this mod has to survive

it would be nice to see some late war stuff,like the stg45,mg45,rocket anti air,airstrike from jets,and if you need historical help im always open,i can get you numbers,pics,please do ask,but this mod looks epic already,i can see alot of marines are going to be apart of the game ;)im more airforce though,my past 7 generations have been airforce,or army air corps

still that sorta brings america down,i own a m1 and i gota say,it should make our troops epicness,seeing the germans got armour that can be god like,if you want pics of my m1,i can send you some so the detail can be better or if you have a question,but i hate the sight on it,it looks like a giant metal block
