Version 3 of The Trapdoor relies on ATDD 1.5. If you want to play version 2, that's not as good but still available. :)

Hi StrikeHUN. There are two different ways you can try to kill The Thing and you'll find them both by investigating the library. You should find an important document there, if you don't already have it, and you should also have a "strange note" that reminds you of what Burke said in his flashback. Those two things together will help you to progress... the rest is up to you!

That can only be due to your Amnesia installation. The mod will never ask you for a serial. (Also, make sure you downloaded it from ModDB and not somewhere else.)

Hi - yes, I still check in from time to time, so thanks for asking. There are 3 stages to the Shadow boss-fight:

1) The Shadow is chasing Daniel around, you have to distract it from Daniel by smashing it's "egg pod" on the far right.
2) You drop down below and the shadow chases you. You need to keep going left and get back up the elevator into the prison room before it gets you.
3) In the prison room, there are 4 egg-pods. If you break one, the Shadow will take some time regenerating it. When all 4 pods are broken at the same time, the Shadow is defeated and will leave. To reach the pods you can boost jump on the pipes and ledges.

Sorry, I don't have that version, so I can't make any promise. I would recommend downloading the installer and trying it anyway. Check whether your Gamestop installation has a "redist" folder and follow the instructions in the installer. Hope it works for you!

Hi folks. Version 2.0 is now available, which includes the option to skip levels you are stuck on, if you retry them more than 5 times, plus working custom level support. If you are already playing, then you can use the installer to patch your game and your saves will update.

In case anyone is wondering, MODLOVER43 fixed this by re-installing Amnesia.

Hi folks. Just to let you know there is an update on the way that will deal with a few minor bugs and add some extra hints in a few early levels.

If you want to play now, there's no need to wait as you won't need to start a new game if you update.

Oh, and if you happen to encounter a bug that stops you progressing, "Save and Exit" then "Continue" will almost always fix it. (Without ruining your score!)

I think you've installed it in the wrong place.
I recommend running the uninstaller, then the installer again.
When re-installing, be careful to select the correct folder.
If you have Amnesia on Steam, you need to browse to the folder where Amnesia.exe is. This is usually within your Steam folders.
If you have a non-steam version of Amnesia, you need to browse to the folder called "redist".

As mentioned, the release date is now 11th June. That will be the real definite no-backsies release date.

The release date was pushed back. It's now set for 11th June FOR REALZ.

Just a quick note to say that tomorrow's release date (1st June) is not quite happening... but I pleased to say that the beta is now ready. There shouldn't be much to do (baring catastrophe) and release should be a matter of days.
