The cobblestones gave city 17 a lot of old world charm(no matter how decrepit or downtrodden), you shouldn't go replacing them with asphalt.

Depends on where you are. Beretta's are still very common, especially considering that four out of five U.S. military branches use the M9 (technically different gun, but who will know), and the LAPD was exclusively issues 92s for a good time (they offer more models now but 92 is still an option).

Also, to CplRush below, Berettas have a NEAR ZERO CHANCE OF JAMMING thanks to the open barrel design. I own one and have NEVER had a stovepipe after firing it many times. Also, the Beretta's DA/SA action allows greater accuracy than the Glock's striker fired action.

Conversely, if this is the future, and technology had consistently gotten smaller (as it has), including guns (as they have too), then why is the shotgun so big and beefy? So if you're going to dispense with that, might as well give it the recoil a shotgun deserves, to compliment the powerful feel.

Also, I'm not quite sure why the shotgun is good versus armor, when shotguns have lower velocity and less projectile mass than most other guns (Modern day shotguns can't even pierce kevlar with buckshot, let alone ballistic plates, thanks to the energy already being spread over a large area). I guess some phlebotinum could explain it or something though.

Except that there's no such thing as good trigger discipline with this gun. You can't even hold it without risking firing it when you trip or tense up or even try to get a firm grip on the weapon.

Also, it's silly that the chamber is so close to the tip, when there's a huge amount of space behind the bolt that is unnecessary for a pistol caliber weapon. With such a short barrel, the accuracy would be terrible and the gun would be deafening to the firer. Also, the fire selector should also be moved above the grip, so it can be flipped by your thumb.

Ever hear of the M60? Yeah, even though the allies won the war, they still incorporated some of the German designs into new weapons, modernizing the MG42 in the case of the M60, along with the newer MG3. So the Germans may have lost but their designs live on. Also, by your rationale, there should be no MP40s, K98s, or P38s in existence now because the Germans lost the war. Even if the allies lost, no doubt there would still be a great many allied guns left in storage.

As for the gun itself, simply adding an MP5 stock, G3 handguard, and a UMP magazine, while keeping the main body of the mp40 is lazy and doesn't make much sense.

That might be the most cliche story I've ever heard.

It looks like you just took the colonel's revolver from Avatar and angled the front. Don't get me wrong, it looks well modeled, but it looks like you simply copied their movie prop.
