Not an overhaul like Techo Scorpion or Electro Comrade, but a new IP as a mod developed as a portfolio piece. It may jump to an engine depending upon limitations.

Will be limiting actually, and have been considering jumping to Unity or Godot to avoid wasted effort. I've already experienced alot of limitations through my work on Techo Scorp that could easily be fixed with 3d models. Dynamic lighting, offset turrets and a proper z coordinate being the main ones so far.

Back then it was just a collection of basic models I'd made with some of them being ingame, nothing too special. However I can make some as I plan on making some for how I create units for the Remastered anyway.

I've come back to this to complete in preparation for my portfolio, though will explore RTS settings and ideas outside of the C&C universe under a post apoc cyberpunk setting.

I've come back to it and add things to is concurrently alongside my other C&C mods. Though it explores a C&C like game without any of the C&C under a post apoc cyberpunk setting. Gives an opportunity to make something new without the restriction.

Absolutely, currently writing a renderer for the infantry and buildings which has been taking some time. I'm also creating new units that are used instead of old ones as the old unit's meta files overwrite the new creating visual errors, this involves playing with the source. So these two things are taking time but are nearly thereXD

Yep, will be a combination of a walker bulldog base with a custom turret that matches the cut scenes, looks like a miniaturised Super M48 or M60 turret.

I'll still be making the Bradly next, I'm about halfway there already. But will be giving it some sort of cannon to fit the role it plays in-game. Would actually be nice to use this as the light tank and use the Bradly as an APC

That and I'd have to scale the unit down as I'm restricted to 128 pixels for length and height. It's a balancing act to still contain the shadow, have the longest barrel you can have and have the unit large enough. Coincidentally it ended up being roughly the same size as the original sprite XD.

I'm definitely doing both remap schemes, I guess I could call them Classic and Modern Styled or something like that, a general way to distinguish between full colour remap and a textured body with some remapable components. The aircraft I've done already as well as the hovercraft have gone down this route. But for now just doing the classic ones.

In short, No it's not possible to have the project finished by 2020. The development cycle for this will be continuous and ongoing building upon and staying upto date with the engine itself. 2020 is used purely because thats the 20th anniversary of the release of DX.

What I would like to have happen though is an alpha release of it or something then but for now that is too soon to provide details for.

Stories you hear today of tech companies, the Police Force and the Military recruiting people out of diversity and in order to promote a diverse organisational culture would be a thing of the past. Instead personnel would be employed based upon their abilities and merit alone, regardless of who they are, the selection is completely automated and unbiased. Therefore working towards an organisation being as effective as it can possibly be.

It's funny too. Some games even let you hack things that you shouldn't even be able to hack. And do things beyond the scope of what electronics can do. Cough, allowing player to hack weapons so that they backfire cough!!

And a keypads role is to register a user input and then send the completed input to a security management control board. These are either a completely separate contained within wall mounted computers or one that is integrated in rack mounted servers.
