You could also combine the too so the game never gets too hard. Auto regenerate health to say 50% and make the player search for health boosters for the other 50%. That way if they don't find medkits then they don't feel like they completely wasted their time but if they do find medkits they can go okay, I can play this next batch of enemies a little bit less cautiously.

Or you can even add in the unreal way of doing it too where medkits can overcharge you with health and have the overcharge slowly tick down the amount of health you have until you get to the normal amount (usually 100%)

There are tons of way to look at the damage/health system and I would encourage you to take a unique way. Specifically one that makes logical sense to the plot/story.

Take Half-Life you always saw these health and armor recharge stations which were like finding medkits but not really because if you had 99 health and just wanted to top yourself off, you get 100%, turn the corner and deal with enemies who work you down to say 10%. You still have the rest of that recharge station left, so you can go back and charge back up. Most of all it fit within the game. You were introduced to this HEV Mark 4 Protective system about 10 minutes into the game in which of course has a armor and health system. In fact you can actually think of Health as adrenaline and Armor as pain killer and you are just refilling the suits capacity. (which is why after major amounts of damage the suit will administer adrenaline.)

Why does the woman have a very expensive looking g-string and the man has like this cloth diper thing going on? I feel like this isn't really balanced. In fact your game is already rated adult so why not go for semi-realistic cloths for the males. Who would wear this: En.wikipedia.org (wikipedia link and contains nudity.)

Honestly I am glad I saw this. I've been creating a game for the last 6-9 months that is entirely in spirit of this game. I seemed to have taken a bit of a different approach with the game but the general arch of design matches perfectly. I am happy to see that great minds in fact think a like and that the core of my game is a design that others will want to play as well. That said I can't wait to play this.

I would recommend watching Penny-arcade.com It's a strong video about how you need to pull from your life and experiences to create a game design. Just because a game uses symbols from a religion doesn't mean the game is trying to insult the religion. Look at the entire god of war series or darksiders. Those games rely heavily on religious text and symbols. Are they too Blasphemous? I would say no, while I am Taoist I don't get upset when someone makes a story dealing with Taoist symbols (which happens so much its not even funny) I just understand that Taoist has had a huge impact on the world just like any religion. Be proud your religion is embedded itself into society.

The actual game looks great. I'd love to see it when it's finished. Small question, if I pay 5 dollars now is that just for alpha access? Does everyone get the game for free when it releases?

Looks like this is just closed beta for now. No way to play it if you just saw it. Guest logins don't work and there isn't a publicly exposed place to register. Also the exe's are all named "closedbeta"

It looks alright. It seems more like a platformer with a mix of tetris. The "find your best friend" element seems to be really underplayed which is more of why I would want to play this game. Perhaps I just don't like platformers but I can only really play a platformer if I want to find out the rest of the story and while I am very interested in figuring out what happens to the dog and the little man the trailer didn't give me enough of the story beats to satisify me.

I tried to keep it a good medium, not extremely simplified but in it's current prototype state it doesn't have all the calculations in it. As well it has no AI and is only 1v1 internet multiplayer. Can be local multiplayer with two instances of the game open but I don't think that really counts :)

Hey,

Great game. my feedback is that the annoyance of the change gravity direction is consistent with the way "UP" is defined at the beginning of the level. Which this is a nice memory challenge to figure out which way I have turned and which way up is but I am not sure if its a feature of the game or just something that happened in development.

This seems interesting but I think it's odd on how platforming in a FPS is preseved as rather difficult and down right annoying and you exploit this for your advantage. Not that is a bad idea and in fact seems like a rather good idea but I hope everyone else sees it that way.
