Congrats on being featured on Kotaku.
Congrats on being featured on Kotaku.
I love it.
But now I'm sad at the lack of a PC port of Red Dead.
My inner fanboy is devastated at Overgrowth's loss. Anyways, Bastion looks cool and I'd be excited for Fez were it to be released on PC. Monaco looks... interesting. I'll have to watch it.
Purchased for $10. Will it be on Steam anytime soon or should I just download immediately?
Not to mention this was released in 2004 for a game made in 2002.
Also it seems like he has never heard of Battlefield 2.
What does Unreal Tournament count as?
"And the path all the way from my bed to my chair, represents my typical epic daily commute"
I'm pretty sure that that is every gamer's fantasy.
It looks like it would be a challenge to combat...
Great work.
I played this on the XBox and it still sucked. I'd understand why some new gamers (75% of guy students) who insulted us gamers would like it, but it is the same as the first game but with a few reskins. Its like a "skin pack" that some guy compiled from FPS Banana and sold it for $60.
Also, the campaign is shorter and follows the same basic events as the first one.
'Play as American'
'American Dies'
'Play as Soap'
'Fight Russians'
'Nuke Explodes'
'America Screwed'
'Go into Last Stand'
'Kill Boss in one Second'
And also, it's obvious that they were 'inspired' by Halo.
1st Game- No Akimbo
2nd Game- Akimbo
Famas w/ ACOG= Battle Rifle
F2000 w/ Red Dot= Assault Rifle
Any SMG= SMG
And list goes on.
Also, to save an hour or two of my life, I'm not going to elaborate on the horrible community.
I downloaded the "Smokin' Guns v1.1b4 update" and when I try to run it it says:
'vm/ui.qvm has bad header'
in the Quake III console. Any way to fix this?
This is awesome. Too bad my laptop sucks.
At least I have my game key hanging up on the wall, right up in front of this hellish machine.
It sounds so epic and solemn. It also reminds me of Morrowind's theme alot, which is a plus.
Completely awesome.
No offense to The Haunted, but I was hoping for this to win and go retail WAY more.
I don't think the Source engine can achieve the level of realism that Red Orchestra's modified Unreal engine can achieve (bullet drop and other stuff like that).
I like the new one much more, but I like the bulkiness of the first one.
You're doing this with the consent of the original team, right?
Edit: Just read the post. Tracking.
Mortewood Plaza and Opposing Force 2 both looks good.
Yet another reason why you deserve Best Upcoming Indie Game.
This game will be a treat to play.
Are you planning on releasing this on Desura?
It seems that people want combat footage. Especially on the "Best Upcoming Indie Game" page.
Are you working on the combat?
Those aren't facts. I will combat them, though.
Fact 1
No. No its not. I don't think that in the game you are an unarmed guy walking through a corridor, with his eyes darting around, only to be smashed and killed by a lumbering giant. It probably will use the same models, though. Not the same animations.
Fact 2
It's not groundbreaking as it has been done before.
No one in the games I played in played as the commander.
Everyone just clumped together when I played it and they only fired at the Khaara when they were in danger.
No, Overgrowth is a physics-based fighting game using a powerful, revolutionary engine. Considering it will use context sensitive attacks (press a button when someones about to kick you makes you grab his or her leg), physics engine that's similar to Euphoria, and you can kick people into walls or other props and, if it is breakable, watch them get crushed by it as it crumbles down.
Fact 3
No one said that. And Overgrowth supports their community as much or even more.
Fact 4
"jeffr Jun 23 2009, 12:03pm replied:
It will be quite moddable :) That's why we're spending so much time on the editors."
Overgrowth will be pretty moddable.
No one is bragging nonsense; in fact, most posts that are pertaining to Overgrowth are of ignorant people who don't know what Overgrowth is about. Most people know what NS2 is about. It’s a shooter. Your first paragraph isn't right at all. Yeah, I’m a Wolfire fanboy. No, I hate furries. But keep in mind that I don’t hate Frozen Synapse or NS2. I already preordered NS2, but I don’t think I’ll like their community.
I'm gonna brace myself for flames.
(Darn 2000 character limit)
At least he's not holding it three inches from his head.
