Probably dynamic anomaly, try go somewhere and sleep a day or two, until emission occurs, it should make anomalies change place.
I had odd annoying problem and not sure how it triggers. I play as Clear Sky, took task from base, escort scientist.
As soon as i arrive to destination, scientist starts doing some stuff with device. Suddenly old song plays, i have no idea where it comes from, how to turn off, i tried to use radio and it did not help.
The song itself sounded like something of old soviet type, kinda killed immersion for me :( any way to disable?
Sadly, last official news were in 2006 (promised new in 2010). Really wish it would be playable :( Not many games nowadays have this kind of genre and theme.
For me personally RC19 been very stable :) and it is way more fun with new changes/additions.
Edit: better fps and stability overall. and zoomable 3D PDA! By the way the only way i know how to unzoom it from face is to use Sprint binded key, took me hours to figure that one out, lol.
weird, i would guess that your download was corrupted. Did you install game on same drive as Windows? Make sure you do not have odd characters on folders pathways (arabic, cyrillic, so on.)
If you finished them all, you MUST try Anomaly :) but it works only on x64 bit system. Right now stable release is 1.5.0 with Update 4 and Hotfix 8. Yet, if you want with latest features, but not fully tested version, got to join Discord channel (I do not know it, sorry) or look for a link below in comments for Release Candidate 19(RC19)
I bet, that if it was working on A-life, then 90% of population you would meet, end up zombified after every blowout/emission.
But it should affect stalkers located right on the same map you are.
Have you tried to leave map and let at least two days to be skipped?
depending to what faction suit belongs to, you need a patch related to that faction, then, if i remember correctly, you either right click on your equipped suit or the patch, then "attach it".
Only way to pretend being in another faction, you'll need their suit with their patch on it.
Increase weight limit by a bit to carry more of those materials, or make own stash in favorite place and put all collected in good condition materials inside, i usually just drop bad ones.
Although i agree with the armor, easier to just buy new one than try repair from a few(dozens?). By that time you would already have like over 100k rubles to invest by doing quests and hunting artifacts on the way, etc.
P.s. they should simplify repairing helmets/suits easier with less items and/or that are more common to fit for each model. This could be as toggle able option in extras too. Still playing this, since it came out :)
You can just tweak Disguise settings a bit in the Options for your own taste, so for example you would have enough seconds to pass by guards before they start suspecting you too much, and then have enough seconds to talk to Mechanic before he starts shooting at ya. That is what i did. The Disguise as is works a bit lame (they get too suspicious, even from a gun that they do not use, but logically thinking, anyone in the zone can take any gun as a trophy).
hitpower works on you and NPCs alike, to make yourself more resistant to damage, change in Extra Options damage protection to Brilliant, it should be somewhere on top category related to Difficulty settings.
You can use loner outfit for disguise, the NPCs might suspect you too easily though, but that can be changed in Main Menu - Extra Options - Disguise.
did you try talking to sidorovich or barman?
Try maxing texture and model geometry settings.
tell them to stay far, it will give you around 3 meters of distance between.
quest NPCs are sometimes bugged, quick fix for this:
Quick Save in front of Doctor, then Quick Load, as soon as you load in to the game, press F to talk as soon as possible.
You need matches to light campfires, firestarter kit is probably for cheap cooking tools.
Once i was hunting for artifacts, there was two artefacts in very core of anomaly, impossible to get... But then Vortex sucked them both in and they started flying like bullets out of that area lol, at least it was good surprise, because those artefacts mutated into better ones. Did not know that is a feature.
EDIT: If can not get to them, try throwing bolt at them or shoot.
is your game installed on SSD? helps a lot with performance and loading.
Do you use laptop? or do you have integrated AND dedicated video cards? Make sure that 1. your powerplan is on Max Performance. 2. Your CPUs are Unparked. 3. Videocard control panel has settings set on max performance(on Nvidia control panel, there is PhysX setting, choose there GPU, not CPU).
Warfare is kind of bugged right now.
Indeed, when i first time did the Sin quest, there was this Sin guy that did not wanna ever talk, accidentaly reloaded save next to him and was surprised, he talked! And that wasn't even on sleep zone.
EDIT: but like StalkerSpainDimitry said, that certain NPC is able to "answer" for 2-3 seconds after loading, after that option "Talk by pressing F" disappears.
Get out of sleep zone, then hold F and run past items, you'll pick them all up.

These changes should not just make them react better in dark, but overall quicker too. When you are spotted, NPC will aim and pull trigger earlier than before. Still easy to sneak past through at night. The only problem now is, i do not know how to make NPCs spot others easier, that have flashlight on.
P.S. and i changed npc fov to 115 for myself :)
EDIT: tested and changed these settings few times, works much better. And disguise makes NPCs still suspicious of you, i pretty much had red bars, but they only started attacking me, when i took gun in my hand. Feel free to put it in your upload.
It was night, i had my headlight on, killed all except one bandit, few seconds later he just walks past me right at my face, aiming at where i used to shoot, lol. Feels like they're now blind at nights and orientate by sound.
P.s. I was in disguise trading with enemy, 4 npcs around me weren't suspicious for over 30 seconds. This is kinda good change, but makes it too easy, might be both connected to how npcs detect you in short distance and darkness. But i do not have idea how to change this script.

Try tear armor patch off and put it back when nobody sees you.
That has happened in most stalker games with companions mods, because of engine glitch/limitation i think. Best way to work around it sadly, is by loading earlier savegame, until your companion shows up. Hopefully there is alternative way to fix.
Not sure if you are able to do this in trade menu, but try... when you hover over your equipped armor/gun, it will highlight all items too that are compatible for cleaning/fixing/etc. At least it works in character inventory, haven't tried with trader.
But yes, it would be nice to have all armours have a prefix like [L] as Light, M as Medium, H Heavy and X as Exoskeleton.
