I am in the process of remaking this game in open-source format (C#, TrueVision 6.5 engine), with the expectation of expanding the capabilities and features of this game.

This remake is currently in an early pre-alpha stage, and I have paused development for the moment to concentrate on other projects, but I believe you might have some fun with it (Battle of Endor / Battle of Yavin is mostly playable).

Some AA weapons work better on heavily armoured air units like Kirovs. Try Battle Lab tier anti-aircraft units (Wolfhound, Thor, Sentinel, Catastrophe, Aeroblaze, GGI-Battlefortress, Gehenna, deployed Colossus, Irkalla, Oxidizer combo), they deal with Kirovs better than base defences.

Interestingly, basic anti-air infantry work decently in numbers.

Another possibility, the Allied nations have been all but wiped out, whatever survived no longer bear any semblance with the Allies. :P

This is a tank with an awesome personality. The army needs more of these who act badass and speak badass.

Dibs on those who can guess the size of this big gun.

It was a known issue in Win8 that the second match always crashes. The next version will resolve it.

For the moment, exit the game (the application) and re-open MO after every match.

Next up: Using Apple's voicebanks to voice the unit.

United States - USA, duh. This selfish nation refuses to share its good name. :P

European Alliance - Germany + France + UK + other European nations 'ignored' by RA2/YR - Poland, Italy, Spain. Canada may also be considered as part of EA (non-USA NATO members). The simplification is reasonable as a common arms can be found between them (NATO).

Pacific Front - Korea + Japan + Australia + other Asia-Pacific states.

Russia - USSR. It wants to spread its good name, but the last it did that, it lost the war. :(

China - China + N. Korea + other Asian communist states.

Latin Confederation - Cuba + most of Central and South America. If Road Trippin' is an indication, Mexico is included as well.

PsiCorps - Used to be part of the USSR. Not for too long

Scorpion Cell - Most of Africa and the Middle East, although subversively; the countries are formally administered by USA, Russia, or by neutral parties. For example, Scrapyard - Egypt is under USA control but contested by Scorpion Cell. If you were thinking of Libya and Iraq, there they are.

HQ - Antarctica.

The changes to the faction list are aimed to be more inclusive (~50% of the world's nations should be covered), less complicated (no way are we going to have 20 European countries (!)), and fit better to the campaign storyline.

Poor Yuri. He will have armies pouring from his eyes, taking potshots across his face, capturing his nose, mining his beard and moustache, and launching nukes to his eyes.

Being Yuri is not easy.

The Union of Socialist America declares that they are the new Allies. Each of the 50 stars were now hammers and sickles. Soviet Democrats and Republicans argue over who should take the hammer and who should take the sickle. Due to the Hammer Defense's similar name, placing such an emplacement beside the military hub would be met with utter disdain and the military did not want that.

The Declaration of Comrade Friendship was to be sent to Lord Yuri, but somehow ended up in the Queen's hands in the United Kingdom.

No matter. The People's First Amendment was due to be announced Soon(tm). At least that's what a patrol gunship said (Do not question a talking helicopter). Most people wait with bated breaths for the so-promised horde effect, some were seeking bailout from alleged crop-failures, and others were still waiting for the overdue worker shoes.

Spectulations were made on when a giant red star would be painted over the Pentagon's rooftop. However, the wars made sure that the Soviets had not enough paint. And blood was unclassy. Frenchies suggested red wine. The Chinese constructed a counterfiet Pentagon to perform their own festive overtures. The Confederation's proposal for red C4 packages were quickly dismissed. World leaders met in Normandy to discuss how the Pentagon should be decorated. The military decided to make another attempt across the Channel to cover the leaders' presence.

The red wine tasted great, but vaporized too quickly after application on the Pentagon's surface. Nonetheless, the Soviet High Command recipocated the French's goodwill by suggesting to transfer the Effiel Tower to the Pentagon. The French managed to haggle down to a Grand Cannon.

Much celebration was made when a huge defensive cannon was erected on one side of the Pentagon. Some bemoaned the destruction of the complex's pristine symmetry and the subsequent loss of geometrical elegance. They were sent to the Gu... some modest accommodation where a professor could preach the beauty of the asymmetry. After all, symmetry in warfare was boring.

Experimental Thor was destroyed by a Soviet army led by two comrades, and for good reason.
