Sorry, but we had to solve two OP problems: Hard hits and blocks were too OP at the same time. So we turned the hard hits into block-penetrating attacks - you can still use them at the old speed if you attack a charging or blocking opponent with it.

Features like gokus dragonfist are rare enough to claim that they are secret moves and not listed to give the player reasons to test all characters in all possible ways... also I really suck at making helpfiles
Sorry for the missing news about it: we currently work on the unlock system and should release it soon. But the waiting should be worth it: We will unlock characters on a weekly, themed rotation - so every week, you play a different season of the show. Of course you will also be able to unlock chars permanently. And if we arent too lazy, there may be even events :D
We found that problem and uploaded a new version - you should have no problems now
goto youtr mydocuments folder and delete the LBZ folder in there. run it again and it should reupdate properly.
Use a bit of logic
An alpha version is the first ssetp before a beta and the release.
Things are changing, and making mods that are stable enough to survive the changes is a chunk of work - working for free with a result that may go to waste right at the next update is not desireable.
We do feel bad for the mods we lost with old version and want things to be better in future.
For now, >40 characters with individual movesets should be enough for having fun...
Happens mostly when a firewall decides to ask for permission during an update; search for and delete the profilefolder LBZ creates at first start (mydocuments/LBZ ALPHA game data), then restart LBZ; Make sure your firewall does not block the updater :D
Common fighting games take place on one dimension (plus jump) and use a Stone-paper-scissors like system of high, medium and low blocks - not realistic for a game with free and unrestricted movement in 2 dimensions. we tried to add a lot of other melee moves, but in the end it came out that more is less coz the fun at meleefights got beaten down by fancy melee that slowed down the speed of the game. Nevertheless we hope that somone will some day have the time and patience to add more animations to all models to improve our melee´s look :D
by waiting a bit more time till we think he is ready for the public... we arent dealing with the average Saiyan anymore :D
sounds a lot like you are using windows default drivers; find out what graphics card you have, go to the manufactureres homepage and get new ones - installing drivers is really easy nowadays
usualy this happens when gfx drivers arent installed properly and openGL is set to windows openGL1.0
too bad the first part does not get an HD revival - i liked it more than the second
Sorry guys, the comments at moddb lack a bit in overview...
@ all with troubles:
The port to open for the updater is UDP 27097
If something went wrong and you need to reinstall LBZ, make sure to delete the folder "mydocuments/LBZ ALPHA Game data"
If it says "Renderer not supported".. then a) update your graphicsdrivers or b) hope we get an altternative renderer working in future
Have Phunz
let the LBZ updater pass your firewall/router
ok, instructions to cleanly reinstall:
- goto your mydocuments folder
- delete the folder "LBZ ALPHA game data"
- restart LBZ from the place where you unpacked it
let the updater pass your firewall
i guess your graphicsdrivers are out ot date then, the engineconcept is state-of-art and meant to stay state-of-art for more than a week after we declare it stable release :D
i guess this means that you already figured out how to play hotseat with keyboard and gamepad too
please open your firewall for LBZ and try again - the autoupdater was blocked
great advance.. the android interface seems to be a bit hard to handle - not really an issue for me as pc user.
I hope there will be an alpha soon so i can give feedback to help the development get forward :D
already done... moddb has just a lot to do to approve all news in these days :P
