I can't really disagree with you, and I suppose if I had paid more than a dollar for it I might be more put off, and I'm certainly disappointed there's not going to be more, I really enjoyed it for a couple of days and got more than my money's worth. But just like with Kickstarter, the earlier and earlier people get involved in development and put out their money, the more often they are going to be let down.

Given that the new project was funded and made it through Greenlight, and Pixelry managed neither, that seems a somewhat reasonable thing for them to do. Maybe they'll open source it so someone else can tinker with it if they want to.

Any ETA on performance improvements? I really enjoy the art style and look, and it seems to be fun to play, but it maxes out my graphics card and still barely manages 30-40 fps, even less with shadows on. There isn't really going to be any market for a game that is both graphically simplistic but also extremely taxing. I'm sure optimizations aren't in place since it's an alpha, but is it something we can expect to take any sort of priority?

Would be nice to see this, as the always-on DRM part broke for me early on and made the game completely unplayable. There's also virtually no mention of the always-on requirement anywhere in the marketing for the game, and given all of the uproar over Diablo 3 and Simcity, I knew to avoid those, but was caught by this one unaware and disappointed.

Anyone know if any of the developers used to work at Decipher? Because the game mechanics are very similar to their old Star Wars CCG, which I always loved. It's great to have both a feeling of nostalga in a new setting, so glad I picked this up.
