I'm not sure what you are saying, but kenshi works without an internet connection, even the steam version.

it doesnt want you to pay again you goof, you've just lost the keycode from your system (probably a re-format?). Just find your key and re-enter it when it asks (either in your purchase email or right-click->show key in your games list in desura).

If the auto-update is 1.5gb it might be easier to download the new 0.50 installer and install over it (your savegames wont be harmed). Or you can use your keycode to activate on steam.

Desura version is temporarily broken and new uploads have to wait for moderator approval before they go live. In the meantime you can use the standalone version.

temporary problem with the desura version. I uploaded the desura update with broken files, and desura won't let me upload another update until that last one had been moderator approved. Now we just need to wait for the new one to be approved and we are good.

All other versions should be fine though.
