Thanks for reporting this! Looks like an issue with some new code that generates the visual player path. Gonna do some code digging.
Does this happen as soon as you start a new game?
Do you remember what you're doing when it crashes? Are you running the game with "hiddenassetdebug.exe" (this should provide more information about the crash)?

When you're inside a building, nothing above the level you're on will be shown of that building, if that's what you mean? You can also rotate the camera to see behind obscuring walls. Beyond that, the levels are pretty much designed with this in mind, so you won't have a guard initially hidden behind an obscuring wall, for example.
