Amen to this!!!
Perfect. As a collector/reenactor I can only say the helmet shape is only minimally a bit off. Even so, it's minor. Great work!
This type of throwing was taught for German soldiers throwing the egg-style grenade.
Those chaps will have to hide those bayonets whenever the policeman turns around. What was it they said? "Get a life, bin the knife"?
I'd love it if the musician could have the group instead strike up a marching tune to sing into battle since of course local voice programs don't really work for singing... not that people still don't try, haha.
The scratches on the armor are probably from trying to squeeze in the trenches, or leaving it out during a bombardment. I can imagine the French soldier, "Ah damn. I hope it doesn't break, cumbersome tin can..."
Your English is better than my Russian, bud. :D
Poison gas was planned early on, but I do not know if it can be done in the game engine... I hope so!
The AI is forever dumb in Mount & Blade. The game is best played in multiplayer anyways. :)
Haha! Very cool. Supremely under represented.
A good article on how the Germans carried their weapons. Looking at original footage from the front and training videos, it's a good show of how they carried themselves into battle as they were taught.
Also, a good video on close combat training... I put in a timeskip so you could skip to the juicy slow-mo. No "low-ready" here!
Closer and better than the previous versions. The helmet's protective slant starts too low on the helmet (even the brim is higher in the picture) Here's a nice reference picture of a M1916 Stahlhelm, although it's got a little bullet wound and some rust on there. Poor Boche. :P
Feldgrau came in all sorts of shades, but this is straight slate gray. He needs a little field in his gray. :)
Looks great. Just needs a cover on it.
This officer is more suited for a parade ground than a battlefield. He would have at the very least a cover on his Pickelhaube. He carries a pistol, but wears Mauser pouches? (They're awfully tiny as well!) Textures look great, but his gear and uniform really need work to look proper.
It should give torso armor, I believe. Ideally they'd wear this in addition to the brow plate so this guy definitely wants to be a MG gunner since he won't be able to really run anywhere quickly. Unsure if it'll actually be able to stop rifle bullets, but pistol rounds or explosions should do the trick.
There will be a few unique locations from what I've gathered.
Whistles are so damn useful. Good work. :D
Good job, I see he's part of a certain unit, the shoulderboard being early war as well as the tunic. However, if you're going for early war he'd be wearing a covered pickelhaube and browned leather instead of blackened. Also, those pouches he's wearing are WWII. The WWI pouches are a bit more thick and also browned. Now for your late war guys, black leather you'd see more often. :) Also can't tell, but the belt buckle should also be browned. Good job!
Keep up the good work, KF team. Time to do the Winter War and Continuation War justice! :)
Never cared too much for RO2 after release, not being the more deliberate paced action found in RO and DH. I'll be tracking this mod. Gute Arbeit!
Sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net As you can see, there's a special insignia on the left arm above the cuff if you were a flamethrower troop. Would like to see this bad boy in action!
From what I've heard, it's:
Initial release - German Empire & French Third Republic
Shortly after - British Empire
Next - Austro-Hungarian Empire & Russian Empire
Other factions that will be added later will be the Ottoman Empire, Kingdom of Italy, and the Kingdom of Belgium.
Will the clubs be random for the class with them? Much like Partizani secondary weapons?
I'm really glad you went with the darker wood, which is correct. Excellent model!
Looks like the real deal. Excellent work, lads.
Push through and finish this mod! Too many WWI games or mods are unfinished or buried or just aren't entertaining enough because of wonky gameplay. This is gonna be rad!
