Death Mountain

KodeZee Blog

For the few (very few) that have been watching my page for the anticipated sequel to 2012 Avalanche, here it comes! Death Mountain is a 3rd person sequel of 2012 Avalanche starring Scaredy Manny, one of the many Manny Personas that I will be using to later games (Manny is like the Mario to my Nintendo lol.) I will be releasing a free lite version later this month. I hope to have the full game available on Desura for a like $4.99, hey man's gotta eat. The full version will have many levels, different game modes, unlockable characters, and maybe some mini-games based off of the same system. I haven't locked in all of the details of the final game, but I have made substantial progress. I'll be posting some gameplay vids and images this weekend. Can't wait to receive your feedback. XD

Education and Progress

In classes now...feeling good about the semester. Feeling like this is a Dean's List semester, needed a 3.6 GPA, got a 3.54...(O_o) 0.06 points off of Dean's List. Taking more core related classes, viewing more online tutorials to increase my Unity proficiency. Reworking my Manny the Mannequin, he's the Mario to my Nintendo. He was a royalty free model from TurboSquid, but had way too many polys; had to convert NURBS to polys for Unity's sake, which took the poly count way up to like 19k, even with a poly reduction. So I redid him from scratch using the original as a template. Now Manny 2.0 is made, skinned, and rigged at less than 3k polys! YEAH! NOW LETS ANIMATE!

I'm back in the Game!

Lol, hey, this is my first blog. I was inactive for a while, but after the minor success of my first Unity game(sort of success, I suppose...some people liked it (>_>) ) and the completion of my first year of Computer Science courses, I'm back into game development full force. I currently have a big (though kind of overdone...actually, over...tried?) project I'm working on right now in Unity. I intend to make better use of my ModDB account and try to connect with my audience.

Also, I'm not an artist. I do my own modelling, texturing, animating, etc. in Maya, but I'm not great or anything. I do pretty fair work, but I just don't have the eye for visual art. When I post some images from my current project you'll see what I mean...but if anyone interested in lending their artistic expertise to graphically enhance my games, feel free to contact me at my email or through private messaging.

Furthermore, I am swiftly learning the C# language and how to maximize Unity's scripting capabilities. I'm currently working on a production level script to sell on the Unity Asset Store. For any Unity users that want scripting tutorial on anything that you see on my sight, I would be happy to share a few of my tricks. I'm open to collaboration and lending my coding skills to others, I would like a spot in the credits through lol.
