Thanks for the update!
I have played Echoes, but Time's End was already laid out long before so it hasn't really influenced much. I did love the scripted sequences and tie-in to Epistle 3, though.
This post has been invaluable in catching me up on a few years of Half-Life SP mods! Thank you
No pictures for awhile because the new stuff I've done still looks a little rough and placeholder-y. Please trust that I'm working on Time's End when I can and the only way it gets cancelled is if I die (which I have no plans to at this time)
Go back to the room with the big DNA hologram and find another route near there, it's not obvious due to the copypaste rooms but eventually you'll find the card you need.
The map sizes vary quite a bit. I think it'll be a little longer than Life's End was.
Sorry for taking so long in getting back. So far I have 65 maps linked, but there are more to go and a LOT of work to do. I'm working on it when I have the time, which isn't as often as I would like.
Are you playing version 1.1?
There's no alternate ending to Life's End, but you will cross paths with Luther very briefly in Time's End
At the time, I was sure it'd be done by then. But life took me in different directions and it laid dormant for months at a time. But I always come back.
I've been switching between SD and HD models throughout development. I'll likely release it with the originals and an optional HD pack.
Thank you so much! This really made my day. Time's End still exists and one day it will be released.
The first 20 maps are linked as of a couple of days ago. Loads more to go. I'm not going to set a release date, since I feel terrible for letting people down when I said "2015" on the trailer. But I am still working on it when I find the time.
It's still being worked on, but unfortunately much less than it was a few years ago due to other commitments I have now. But one day it WILL be finished and released. I'm not gonna set any dates tho, not to cause any further disappointment. Thank you!
Ugh, I just saw the typo "Some new Time'e End pics!". Kill me now. :P
Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)
It's coming in 2014. A few new pics just added!
Wow, there's a lot going on that way.
Good to hear! :)
I'm good. Time's End will be finished and released some time in 2014. I hope you like the new pics!
I'm fine. I've been through some stuff IRL, not bad stuff but busy stuff - but I'm still working on Time's End! I've added LOTS of stuff and am in the process of putting it all in order and doing some seriously complex scripted sequences.
Your patience will pay off, I promise!
Not so fast. I said I suck at posting updates, but I promise you I'm still working on this thing!!
This looks awesome, I can't wait to play the finished version! :)
Thank you! It was a nice, quiet Christmas with the family.
Things are going well. I've made a few changes, cut a couple of maps and transferred the best bits from them into what I'm keeping. I know I don't update much, but I'm still working hard on it!
I'm still working on TE, currently cutting a few maps and moving the best bits from them into what I'm keeping. I'm sorry I haven't been around or updating the page much. I'm better at mapping than I am PR :)
LOL, I'm still alive!
I've just finished playing it. It was a fun first project :)
I loved Luther's office, with the CD rack, poster and hidden button under the desk!
As 2muchvideogames said, it's basic and rough, but that's expected of a first map pack (I made a couple like this, although I didnt finish them), and the more you do, the more you'll improve your brush building and the complexity of your maps. You've got the basics down.
I thought the chamber at the end with all the soldiers and ninjas was a bit over the top. A larger area with more cover and room to move would have been more fair.
