KillerTruffle is many things, but on this site, he is primarily a voice actor. He has experience in stage acting from as far back as grade school, and was a member of a traveling stage drama group in high school. He has voiced two projects on Mod DB thus far, and is currently involved in voicing a rather large project. He is always open to new challenges in voice acting, and is able to believably portray a very wide variety of accents and tonal qualities.

One of the things we actually looked at while reorganizing was a short demo level that was only tangentially related to the full mod - basically a step back from the huge project, and a look at a single, self-contained level so we could finish and give people a sense of accomplishment and inspiration to keep pushing on their respective work. That one didn't get very far though - some key people had already more or less checked out, and even that was too big for the rest of us at that point.

One thing we did get finished (or close to finished) was a small 1v1 duel map based on a landing pad (Coruscant I believe?). It looked amazing. We haven't actually managed to get the work from the lead person on that yet, but if/when we do, assuming he's OK with it, we'll plug that into the link too. He managed to do some pretty amazing things with shaders and stuff in that little map that looked even better than the original base game.

We are always open for applications on the forum.

A sample or demo reel is required for anyone applying for VA positions as well.

Keep in mind that we may not have a large amount of VA work in the immediate future (our immediate needs are covered I believe), although we will definitely put out a casting call at some point.

Based on previous experience, we want to avoid hiring *too* many voice actors until we're properly ready for them, so they don't lose interest since VA is one of the later stages of level development. We want to hire great actors, but don't want to lose them before we're fully ready for them. Still, feel free to submit an app now - if it's more for just general Imperial lines, we can take those at any time since they won't be directly related to the primary script.

But yes, this mod is using all-new voice work with a full script.

We'll take a look, but no guarantees. We have actually had some lengthy discussions about Force powers and such, and possibility of some new ones. Some of the suggestions are probably not very likely - strike through walls, throwing the saber as far as you can see, etc. Not all the choices we make are about what "could" happen, but what makes for good gameplay without becoming too overpowered. Some of the suggestions are interesting, but we'll still have to consider them.

Yeah, there *is* already substantial progress in a lot of areas. The engine might be aging, but it's still fun (I even go back and play JA again every now and then), and the people working on it know the tools.

I wonder if it could have something to do with the patch version of Crysis?

It *would* be nice if they cleared it still so you get accurate numbers for part 2... Oh well.

I can only presume that "9% completion" was meant to be "95%?"

The mod *is* almost done folks...

That would actually be pretty cool - having actual pages of the book rather than overlay text. And I think it would fit the overall feel of the game much better.

That dialog you're talking about was added last-minute, and in the hurry to get the mod released on time, may not have gone through the same balancing as the rest.

The text length problem is probably due to the resolution you play at, and while I can't speak for C-zom, I know from my own perspective, I probably wouldn't have even thought about that too carefully, since most everyone I know plays at 1080p or very close to it.

I know C-zom is keeping a changelog to document issues people have with the mod tho, so the release of part 2 can avoid all these problems.
