I've been involved with the EAW modding community since June 2006 and ModDB since 2009. My background is in computer science and mathematics. I was drawn to the modding community due to its high level of energy and global impact on the gaming scene. We hope you guys are enjoying Republic at War and are looking forward to the upcoming additions that we will be releasing in the coming months.

This issue is only present in two cases:

- You have your visual settings set to minimum.
or
- Your GPU/drivers can't handle the FoC shaders which is putting it into the same state as it would be if you had your game settings set to minimum.

Have a look at your visual settings by clicking 'Video' in the main menu (it's the slider in the middle of the screen).

This happens if your video settings are set to low. Just change them in the game menu.

The launcher has a "patch" button under the "check" tab that will do this for you.

You'll get this message if you're downloading from Steam Workshop but haven't let it finish yet.

You can update your game with the 'update' button in the launcher which should fix this for you if it's still not working.

Yes, that should work fine for you.

If you do run into any issues for whatever reason, the minimal install option is always available as a backup.

Just means that it's still downloading. The Steam downloader doesn't do a very good job at letting you know how far along it is or when it finishes.

You can use the RaW game launcher's CHECK button to see if your game is finished downloading.

The Pelta handles itself well against small ships like the Hammer Picket, but can still deal with small groups of fighters if it needs to.

Republic at War v1.1.5.1 will resolve this for you.

Alternatively, you can wait until Christmas and download the new release which includes this fix.

The changes made to the Malevolence primarily impact auto-resolve results, so it's effectively the same as before when in combat.

We weren't aware of #1 but we've got a task for it now that will be addressed in a future release.

We've resolved the turret issue with the Bulwark (which is now in the changelog).

It's something that we had experimented with a few years ago but each implementation had issues.

We're still open to exploring this again if there's a good way to do it.

We decided to skip the beta as we now have the ability to allow players to pull updates automatically through the new launcher.
