I've been gaming since I was 4. Began playing CNC when it was released in 95, so that explains my game preference. And if you ask me whether Halo or Half-Life is better...Half-Life is ahead by far. You can find me on steam by the same name. I'm a university student, meaning I have more time than ever to play games and waste time. :P

Hey, to anyone reading this, feel free to comment on my pictures and such. I do try to add new stuff when I create it, depending if its good or not. But without any comments or opinions, I don't have much motivation to do so. Its like I'm posting simply to fill up time. If you like what you see, let me know and that will definitely increase the chances and frequency of updates.

Mod Idea

KerenskyTheRed Blog

I have begun toying with an idea for a CNC 3 total conversion mod. There will be three primary factions, each with their own personality and strategies. Since I don't have any mod experience whatsoever, its really just a concept with no progress to report. I do have an idea for the story and backgrounds of the factions and the main characters. I don't know if it will ever leave this concept stage, since right now it is only me, a story/concept writer.

It will be a sci-fi type mod. Each faction will have weapons camparable to today, and also more advanced weaponry. However, the game is themed around a more primative society. There are conuntries, but it their relations are either hostile or dead. The below faction background will provide more on what I mean.

Please excuse my improper use of the pronunciation key, as I am to lazy to look up the individual syllablyes and find the weird symbols on the character map.

The 3 factions are the Talmere (tal · meer), Klynore (cli · nor), and the Vin-Si (vin · she).

The Talmere have a feudal-like society. The Talmere act as lords serving under the emperor known as the Viarch (vi · ark). They are hold closely to chivalry, and prefer close quarters engagements. As a result, they shun artillery and have limited air support. However, what they do have is superior armor and top line troops due to their military tradition. Expect superior ground tactics from this faction and individual units that are a master of one, but not jack-of-all trades.
Think of the crusades; both of europe and the mid-east.

The Klynore are a combination of socialism amoung the people and cut-throught free-enterprise business. Their gov is very corrupt. They believe in monitary gain at all cost. Bribery and betrayal are acceptable means of advancement within the military and the Maltkin (malt · kin) council. The third class, working class, are placed in a state of perpetual socialism, like communism, but don't really grieve their situation. With the mentality of the government and military; numbers, stealth, and technology are dominate traits. They sacrifice equipment in all but officer class regiments. Basic units are cheap and have low armor, higher levels are powerful but rather bulky and slow to maintain the officers comfort.
Think of the late 1800s / early 1900s. American cut-throat business mixed with the USSR.

The Vin-Si are a nomadic/nation-state based faction. Shun-Ti (shun · tea) are the regional warlords and rulers. This faction is always moving about their arid land, but the people groups stay within the boundries of their nation-states. They are a mix between the greek states and the american colonies: they are completely independent and proud, yet are cooperative with each other, especially in crisis. This team is fast and relies on quick strikes. Expect fast and versatile units.

This is just the beginning of what I have been thinking about. Feel free to ask questions or comment.
