Its the 41st millenium. If germans had remote controlled tracked vehicles that were used to explode people through the air in WW2, there should be remote controlled trucks and/or autonomous driving trucks in the 41st millenium.
Check this for an example of a light weight autonomous vehicle:
Google car also has a driver's seat and it can drive itself pretty well. Supposedly its only accident so far was when it was being driven by a human driver to take it between test areas.
This exact vehicle is not WW2, it is pretty modern. Based on ZiL-130 chassis En.wikipedia.org those vehicles were produced until at least mid-1990s (or maybe till much later)
A question jONES: did you moddeled this and the vehicle on the image section or did you "simply" ported it into the game engine?
I am asking mostly because i feel there is a really major lack of wheeled vehicles in DoW which considering how several 40k units are retro inspired by things that even today would be in the past i don't think they would be that much out of place.
I used existed non-animated models and ported them into the DOW-game engine format, with some adaptations and modifications (animated wheels for example), and also OE-coded them a bit.
Don't sure about can it be called "simply"
I said "simply" instead of simply because without the "" it would be regarded as a simple task and "simply" was used to refer as having only ported as opposed to model it and port it ingame not saying it is a simple process/operation.
I did notice the wheels working, a really nice detail. May i ask where did you find the non-animated model? Mostly curiosity.
Not gonna lie..I kinda would want to play Steel Legion with WW2 Vehicles :P
Because who cares about anyone not being at the steering wheel... D:

Fair enough. :) But the vehicle has a drivers seat... D:
It's what heretics could use to scare off the loyalists in terror...
