I'm not entirely sure to be honest, but I have a feeling that it may have been an issue with how I extracted the zipped files - I think I just used Windows to unzip rather than WinRar the first time. Hope that helps!

Yeah for some reason I did some rejigging and it now magically works on version 3.0.1 for me as well.
What are the specific requirements for colonisation? In a previous game I could colonise no problem but now the option doesn't appear for me at all, even though I should be able to afford it. Cheers.
Ah cool thanks, do you know if there's a way to revert to version 3.0.0? The Steam betas tab only has the old 2.8 version for me.
I'm on patch 3.0.1 & have all the required DLCs, everything looks fine until I go to start a new game at which point I only have the original bookmarks (769, 1066, 1337, etc). Clicking on provinces shows only default human portraits and in ruler designer no ethnicities can be selected.
Any ideas? Maybe another mod conflicting with the game files?
Huzzah! I've been filling my time with the Game of Thrones mod, but nothing compares to this. Can't wait to see where you guys take this mod in the future.
I assume it's because too many people are trying to download it at the same time.
Scratch that -- after another re-install the game is running a lot more smoothly and I haven't had a CTD yet.
Recently I've found that the mod is quite unstable. I used to play this some months ago and it ran perfectly, recently I came back to it and re-installed, but when playing on the battlefield there is a high chance of a CTD. I imagine it's something that's wrong with my install/game files, but I've tried re-installing and it still seems unstable.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Keeping a close eye on this one, can't wait for a playable version!
Go to the game in Steam, right-click, properties, click on the "betas" tab, select patch 1.11 from the drop down menu, voilĂ .
From the sound of things, "Big Tony" might have connections with the Mafia... I mean look at his name.
Literally can't wait for this mod. I was never really interested in getting NW because I never delved into the M&M community, but I may well buy it just to play this mod!
Yes, it will work with any DLCs.
Are you sure you've selected it? If yes, just try reinstalling, see if that works.
Okay, so if you revert back to 1.09, the game will run, but it seems to be quite buggy and crashes pretty often. I suppose it's fine until the patch is released though.
Yeah, I have the same problem, and the above solution fixes it, but it crashes at every chance it gets for some reason.
Does anyone know when we can expect armour to be added? I saw it in one of the recent videos, but the tool to "equip" it hasn't been implemented yet.
The problem now is that when Valve made Half-Life 2, it was a massive step-up from Half-Life 1, with entirely new and intuitive gameplay and one of the best video game engines to-date. That was 2004, it's hard to believe that in a matter of six years, Valve completely changed the face of the video game industry. Which means that there's immense pressure on them for the release of Half-Life 3. If Valve want to make as big an impression on us all as they did with Half-Life 2, it may take a long time for the game to come out. I'm happy waiting for the game, 'cause if it's half as impressive as Half-Life 2, then I'll be more than happy.
Yeah, I don't know if it will ruin the immersion or not. Then again, with all the awesome new things in store, I probably won't care about some words in the corner! :D
Oh man, look at the detail on those! Look at the grips!!
Nice! I like the idea of trying to evade the army at all costs, whilst trying to survive against the horde.
Surely they couldn't do that. I'm not saying that this is a position for legal action or anything, but by the looks of things, the majority of people who followed the mod since its announcement are on your side, seeing how you were one of the few Black Mesa developers that actually communicated with the fanbase. You could start a petition, or something, to possibly get your rightful place on the credits of the game.
Wow, did such a good job recreating that scene! Was one of my favourite moments from the original game, especially with the music playing in the background.
Interesting, the HUD kind of reminds me of Terraria. Tracking!

Big fan of all Valve games. I believe that Gaben is god on earth.
