Some guy who liked SMOD enough to build a comprehensive English wiki for it, with heaps of help and encouragement from others. Feel free to contact me for SMOD questions or if you'd rather just kill time, I'm fond of idle chit-chat and cooperative games like Empires, Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead or a number of older games. Best bet for getting hold of me is through Steam.
Hi, Happycat. How are you doing these days?
Have you noticed that the custom CS:S maps made after the huge-*** update crash SMOD? I have not the slightest clue of why it happens, but I was wondering if there was any way that I could run the maps on SMOD without it crashing the game? There is a lot of cool post-update maps that I want to create NPC wars on. Thanks.
Obscene is right hehe
Hi, Happycat. Do you know what happened to OneManShow and why exactly he closed down the site?
Also, I have a question about Mapadd. I'm trying to set a player spawnpoint for a map but I have no real idea how to.
According to him, One didn't shut it down. He got upset with Daxent and Skepsis' opinions of the new beta - which, to be sure, was pretty weak considering the timespan - and had a discussion with Phatcat about turning Tactical back over. Phat declined and shut the forum down for some reason beyond me. Place was a damned fine resource. One has since been mostly keeping to himself under an alias: Steamcommunity.com
For the mapadd, all you should need is an info_player_start with its spawnflag value set to 1 so it has priority:
"info_player_start"
{
"origin" "20 40 60" "angle" "100 0 0"
"keyvalues"
{
"spawnflags" "1"
}
}
If that doesn't work, a short Lua script that runs on map start to change the other starts' spawnflags to 0 should do the trick. I can write that up for you if need be.
Hey, do you possibly have the SMOD fix somewhere?
While I could go through the 30 gigs of recent downloads, I'm a little lazy. So, have it, perchance?
Yup. Mediafire.com
Awesome, thanks a ton. Hopefully I can re-make the SMOD: T patch with bits of this, and my own knowledge.

Oh, you know me. All kinds of excitement going on; I can barely keep up with it all.
