Background artist for visual novels sometimes. Composer for myself and people I like. The rumours are true. Not that one.

Description

The purpose here was to get a static mesh exported from Blender 2.62 into the UDK. I wanted to learn what was necessary and what was possible. About the only limitation I've currently found is that Blender's FBX exporter doesn't export vertex colours :-( Apparently an earlier ASE script for Blender 2.49 can export vertex colours although it's a little annoying that I'd need two Blender installs (or only 2.49) to have vertex colours in the UDK.

Other than that the model snaps together perfectly on the UDK's grid and is scaled properly. It's not detailed or anything since it's just a test. There are three pieces snapped together in this image.
