I started modding with BUILD at a young age, I soon became fluent in BUILD editor and EDITART. Afterwards, I got into Source modding and from there continued since. After my experience with modding, which one day I will finish my mod soon, I also design and make games, many of which are not even published until one day the time is right. Thanks for reading!

Very cool, I like how your going with this. One recommendation I would say is look at colour correction, if you want to capture the player in this atmosphere even more, use a tone of light blue, not too much but enough so that some of the bright metals have a hint of blue. The lighting, textures and layout in this is brilliant and I can see a lot of work was put into this. But give the colour correction a try, it will just bring in that immersion some more, you want to give that player a cold shiver down their spine as they play :) Good work!

This game looks so awesome. Traditional low bit pixels are my favourite art style. I use to play lots and lots of old classic games when I was younger, nothing 3D just 2D. This game brings back memories of that fun, and your animations remind me of classic point and click Sam & Max/Day of tentacle style games. This is awesome guys, keep up the awesome work :)

Hey, I been following this project for ages now, from a very long time ago in fact. I am really impressed and what you are making is just absolutely incredible! I have just a few questions. Are you including physics into your game? Such as ragdolls and objects? Secondly, will you be making offline bots for the game? Thankyou guys :)

You guys are doing an awesome job in making what games really made them the best in the past, the gameplay and the fun! None of this debate over graphics, this game just brings the nostalgic memories back to me! Keep it going guys, cannot wait to play!

Jazzbyte123 - - 279 comments @ How do you pick the game to mod?

Know your engine! Know the limitations, know what it can produce, know what tools support its, know everything about it! However, best of all know its reliability. You don't want to spend many hours into one engine and then eventually coming to stops and bumps in your project. I took many leaps into engines and experienced the situations of not knowing my engine I work with. Do your research, it helps save your time and keep your project in a safe position!

I had to make a little story/description for this concept art, it is truly amazing and can tell something just by looking at. "Lost, surrounded by cold clouds that freeze the very nature of life as it grows through the land. The strange rocks, twisted terrain and hidden sunlight crumbles the very sanity of the human mind!" So good! You pieces are just an inspiration for the imagination to think :D

Well there goes my social life! Seriously this game is just....I cant explain the words for this game. Nostalgia, memories and almost childhood. Morrowind was dark, gritty and you felt alone. Skyrim clearly brings this back and its features are there hitting me every second. This game could not make the end of the year any better!

See this to me, the Dark elves look much better and focuses on the original setup of Dark Elves in Morrowind. Oblivion was okay, but their voices and features looked to homely and influenced by the Imperials. Now in Skyrim, they have deeper voices once again and a more ashland-ish appearance. It gave me the feeling like I did in Morrowind, I wouldn't taunt these guys even if I had a full plate of armour on ;)

I use to miss the old times of playing LAN with one another in a house. Brothers and friends. Now its, you better have money and 10 different games if you wanna have a good couple hours of fun!

Jazzbyte123 - - 279 comments @ Solution to piracy?

DRM and anti-piracy has been a problem for so many years now. To be honest, finding a solution is hard. Either way, a game is going to be hacked, pirated no matter what the solution. And the more developers put DRM on games, the more it's going to happen. It's an unlevelled argument but I mean look at games nowadays. We use to play them all the time, now there's always one news piece or multiple news pieces about DRM on a certain game. Just remove it, believe in the people who buy it. If its pirated its pirated, nothing is going to stop it. It's why companies like GOG exist, because the idea of DRM is not a "solution". It's like paying £50 for a game where 80% of it cannot be accessed because you're not trusted or you have to prove that you own the game, by constantly being online.

Yes but it is called the ""1.xx to 1.99 update" by Bohemia Interactive. Classed a patch even though it is a standalone game. The news update was named after the update. "Users of Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and Operation Flashpoint: GOTY are allowed to freely update to Arma: Cold War Assault".

Jazzbyte123 - - 279 comments @ The Freezer (UPDATE)

Hey, it's looking pretty good what you going on here guys! The cold mist effect suits the freezer environment :)

To make it look colder, you should think about applying some colour correction, with some desaturation around (-25) level, and a blue/white tinge. The desaturation will cut the high blue out, making it look cold and lifeless to an extent. Secondly, look at the decals and there is some liquid stain effects. Or anything else that may look wet or slippery! That's my advice, but other than that, nicely done guys :) keep up the good work!

Jazzbyte123 - - 279 comments @ Have you turned your mod into a stand-alone game?

Ah I like this poll, I had a second thought about what to click on this.

My mod Out Of Earth is going to stay a mod I believe but I have considered about making it standalone so I could have some more customisation and make it a more thrilling in depth story. Even though I have planned every chapter of the mod and it was quite long, I still would of liked to make something more personal and independent, espiecally developing it on newer technologies.

I am currently learning C++ for future projects but may consider making Out Of Earth a new project. Who know's what the future holds, but yes, considered it to quite an extent :)
