Love these updates, thank you for all the insight into your process and what you guys are working on. Makes this all super interesting!
Always happy to see updates on this mod :)
The minimap locking system is a brilliant idea!
For me it all started with Dawn of War around 2005, when I first discovered that there even was a modding scene and community. From there I branched out to playing and making mods for too many awesome games to count!
I cannot contain my excitement for this game.
This is one of the coolest ideas I've seen, definitely tracking!
I'm no game developer, but as an artist one important thing I can say is this:
Creative energy is a finite resource that takes time to recharge once it is depleted. Solving problems related to game design most likely takes a lot of creative thought and it can be very draining. When you hit a wall, try and realize that you're probably just depleted and take a day or two to get it all back.
Work when you're inspired and stop when you hit that wall- you'll be more productive and less stressed in the long run. Best of luck and I look forward to playing this game! :)
That's why I said it would *simulate* near misses.
But sorry, I haven't played it recently enough to recall that.
Near misses do damage fighters in the canon, maybe increase the accuracy of capital ships slightly against fighters to simulate the fact that they don't need to be direct hits to hurt the fighter? (even though ingame it will appear that way)
And nothing of value was lost.
As part of that 99.9999% I can say this looks ridiculously difficult.
Just a tiny nitpick, not sure if I'm experiencing a bug or not but when I'm in-game the usual white Windows cursor remains in game, rather than a "Zigfrak" mouse cursor (provided there is one).
Just hurts the immersion a bit but nothing too bad! Let me know if this is intentional or if there is a fix :)
Windows 8.1, running at Full Screen
It's like Spore: The RTS
Looks awesome :)
I have ENB series running on my BF2, it works perfectly fine as long as you turn off motion blur.
I was wondering why this game was on my list of updates. Sorry, changing the name isn't going to save it.
"Use your ***** wisely"
I always do.
Couldn't have picked a better song for this.
This movie terrified me when I was younger, still one of the only ones that gets me.
I like F2P games that use a model where everything which can be purchased with money can be earned through normal gameplay. I think that's a fair trade- time is money. You can grind for 8 hours for an item, or a person who spent an hour at their job can buy it.
Planetside 2 comes to mind for F2P games that "did it right".
Lots of F2P MMORPG titles tend to go pay to win, unfortunately.
I got into the modding scene when I had just turned 13, with Dawn of War mods. From there I moved to Empire At War where I do most of my modding :)
I wonder if turning off AA in game but then forcing it through your GPU will allow you to have both AA and particle effects.
I find it more satisfying to do everything myself, but I am just a hobbyist. If I were to be a professional I would certainly not go it alone- it's just more efficient with a team.
I played the demo a bit today, good stuff! It's extremely frustrating in the "Dammit I WILL beat the level this time, I know it!" kind of way. The visuals are spot on for this kind of game and I like the audio work. Keep it up guys :)
