I think you are insane.
Honestly, if you get most of the jokes and references, it is one of the best games here - and you will have at least 10 hours of great entertainment value. You can see how much work the develoeprs have put into creating something very unusual, and 12 Euros is a bargain for that much fun.

You are right. And this is one of the reasons why I still hope Into the Dark / Into the Ice will appear at least in the 2013 Top 5. These games have actually changed the definition (at least here in Central Europe) what a game is allowed to do in order to entertain the player.
They have torn the chains of "applied self-cencorship" for many developers in Germany, CR, Poland, Austria e.t.c. and deserve some credit for that at least.
Rogue Legacy and perhaps "Monaco" are the only 2 games I can fully support to appear on this list here.
Well, some of them are actually good - but imho not "the best". All of the Top 3 games have decent graphics, and seem to have quite solid gameplay. Rogue Legacy is actually really good.
However, all of them are also "harmless" and "unagitated".
No deeper meanings, no critical decisions, no philosophical views, no agenda, no political messages...
...Games don´t need that to be good, but sometimes a good game gets great by implementing such agendas.
It´s a shame so many people don´t understand your true messages hidden in the games.
You are right. If you nail it down on the entertainment value, Into the Dark and Into the Ice are the best games here.
But not for everyone.
They are adult-themed, and they need quite some knowledge / education on the players side to be fully enjoyable. In addition to that, it seems to be a tradition here to (s)elect games with "Indie" visuals - 2D, 8bit or 16bit appearance, lush and colorful visuals e.t.c.
This is something no "Into" game has had yet.

Simply awesome. There is no limit to your creativity and to the bad taste of your jokes.
I love the Char and weapons model work you put in this game, but ypur own environments look a little bit bleak and slightly boring. They are "too clean"...
One of the best, if not THE BEST indie game I ever played.
Sure, it´s not that accessible and easy-to-get as many others, but if you dig deep into it, it´s simply awesome.
And if you got the education / knowledge / wits, it´s one of the most intelligent pieces of entertainment EVER.
Quoting Mel Brooks in context with operation Paperclip was already good, but the "War on Terror" Speech by Smith topped everything. In your head you get immediately the connection with McCarthy and the 3rd Reich...
Funny, but nightmarish in a very subtle way. The tech drawings and construction plans from Tesla and Schauberger are the next piece most gamers won´t get, but if you know a little bit about it and then read the "joking" lines during the "entrance test" at the computer terminal, the political message is clear. Respect!
I also found the Czech easteregg - and the reference to the Prague Spring. Gave me reasons both for tears and for laughter. Again, very impressive!
I will wait two weeks untill I write a review, because 8/10 seems too low, I will rate it 9 or 10.

So, that´s the original "play as a child horror" and the one on kickstarter was ripping of the idea? Or did I get something wrong?
