If you have installed it right and have a legit copy of Amnesia, you shouldn't need one.
I used too many particle systems in the demo. They have been replaced with level fog for better performance in the full release.

Thanks for your interest in the mod. If you finished the demo, you should have encountered a grunt in the guest room.
I'm currently working on the full Parasomnia release, but development is slow due to the little time I get to devote to this project.
Sorry this reply comes so late, I've been having trouble replying to messages on here.
Parasomnia is a bit heavy on shadows. Have you tried paying with shadow quality and resolution? Also, SSAO samples and resolution have a massive impact on performance.

Late on in development, I added a script area to add the grunt back in if he's not active. To be honest, I didn't see the issue that you're experiencing during testing.
This won't be a problem in the full release as I've changed things around a bit.
Also, did you download the latest version of the demo? It should fix the Hammer & Chisel bug that stops you combining them.

You don't overwrite any original Amnesia files, so you can just delete the Parasomnia folder to uninstall.

Thanks man, I'm afraid this is just a demo for now, I'm planning on three or more large maps in addition to this level and a more expansive story for the fianl game.
@battle19945 - I'm sorry to hear that but it sounds like you have overwritten the original game files, by not installing properly.
This is an isolated Total Conversion mod, no original Amnesia files should be overwritten when installed correctly, if you have, I'm afraid I can't be held responsible for that.
Fortunately not, it's an attempt at a more serious, slower paced game.
