You could call me a gamer, a geek, a writer, a pianist, a drummer, a metalhead, a punk, a heretic, a disciple, just about anything. Scored 9.74 on Sanitest. I like to game on my xbox, and play indie horror games on my laptop when I get bored of FEAR, Condemned, or Silent Hill on my Xbox. My favorite Xbox games are Gears of War 3, Halo 3, Battlefield 3, Condemned, Mass Effect, Skyrim, Oblivion, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal, & Defiance. My favorite PC games are SWBF1, SWBF2, Republic Commando, (can't play those three) System Shock 2, White Day, Amnesia (though can't play anymore), Battlefield 2, The Orange Box (also can't play anymore), and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. I also like The Ultimate Doom, and the Original Ghost Recon. But the only games I can really play on my laptop are White Day, Slender, and Indie Horror games on low quality, lol. :D

Journey To Dawn

Game review may contain spoilers

Uh, it's an interesting game, it seemed pretty good but...

Alright, to start off, the game is pretty cool, but the image you used for the ghost was lacking. Would've been cooler if you used a 3D model...

There was like an immobile skeleton in the building that I didn't get point to, he just stood there. It was kinda awkward, I guess? The flashlight really wasn't great either.

The dialogue kind of ruins the mood of the game, you probably would've been better off just doing subtitles like inside the building, and the narration for the female ghost was just weird. It doesn't tie in, I guess, the monster and the ghost. There needed to be some explanation as to why the female ghost was there I guess and what the relation was?

Plotwise, it just seemed really awkward that everybody hates the protagonist for just neglecting his ...cousin? Yeah. You could've been better off doing like a Father/Son abuse story, made it a bit more graphic or detailed, even kept the drawings as like, the Son's perspective. The whole cousin/ thing was just weird.

Awkward ending too, if the point is killing myself, there could be like an animation of the suicide? Just some recommendations.

Otherwise, It's pretty good.

White Day

Game review

A good horror game, especially for its time.

The game is difficult. There's no combat, and you're going to do a lot of running. I'm not going to spoil much of the plot, or any, but it's got the same kind of premise/story as the common Asian horror movie today. It is played from a first person perspective, and the graphics are pretty good. The story is solid, dialogue (although translation is...so-so...) is good, and there are a lot of choices that affect the outcome of the game. Enemies are terrifying at times, sometimes frustrating. The one thing I do not like about this game, and to touch up on *frustrating*, are the "janitors".

Basically, possessed baseball bat wielding janitors that run around trying to kill you throughout. It truly ruins the horror/suspense aspect of the game, and while, through the opening, running down a hall being chased by a homicidal maniac can be fun, when you're trying to solve puzzles, mysteries, or generally advance in the game, it gets frustrating when there's a guy right on top of you who simply won't go away.

Some of the ghosts are a bit cliché or kinda stupid to some extent, like there's a very slow stalker like enemy that appears out of the corner of your eye, and it is pretty much a spliced "ghost photo" that you can actually find on the internet. Being able to exploit that fact about the corner of your eye makes it boring and ruins the fun as well. That being said, there is some well-done horror in this game with some truly terrifying enemies, some edgy suspense, and some terrifying jump scares.

It's a game worth playing that, if you feel hardcore, going back to play for all the endings, but otherwise, you won't really go back to.

The game is very scary, fun, and solid, and I recommend it to fans of Amnesia, Silent Hill, those Asian horror flicks.
