The main goal of this game is to learn to make 3D games. I have another project I work on in the same time, and both of them helps me to learn and to move forward.
I've chosen to stay alone to do the game, because I think I can finish the game alone (with many time, I agree).

But on other projects, why not create a team ? ;)

Le jeu sera bien évidemment disponible en français, ainsi qu'en anglais. Étant français, je me vois mal sortir un jeu incompatible avec ma langue maternelle haha

Lights are the biggest problem of the game for the moment, and it explain my total silence about it since April 2018. A lot of work needs to done, and I'm working on it.
I will post new screenshots when I finished new lighting, and a few others things I want to change since many months. Many weeks (more months I think) will still be needed to progress.

I think, yes. I'm start learning UE4 dev with this game (more details in the comments of a recent article), and I'm still bad with lighting, because I prefer develop the "functional" part of the game before. I think this part is more difficult. But I will work on the lighting, don't worry ! ;)

Yes, it's a bit polygonal, because I wanted to test something with the camera. I will improve the camera after my tests, don't worry ;)

The game is not adapted to VR, at least for the moment. At the end of development, I can maybe try to adapt it. ;)

I will work on that tonight or tomorrow, but I think you've the problem, UE shows a message about that then I build the lightning :P

I don't want to have an overlighted level by the way, I still need to find a compromise, but I'm still working on that, don't worry. I'm testing different lightning ;)

I'm already know this website, and I will use it to add others languages in the game. However, the game have texts in French that I need to translate (menus especially).
But, thanks anyway for this advice ;)

I already have ideas for an original game, but I prefer try to reproduct an existant game for the moment.

Like I said in comments of a previous article, this project exist to help me to learn 3D game development with Unreal Engine 4. Portal is a game I'm really like and I spend many days to play to it.

This video shows what I've done in the last months of development. The first part of the level (before you pass the door) is completly functionnal. Only the part with the button and the cube have bugs, and like I said in this article, it's not finished yet.

I don't know for the moment if I should launch the game on Steam, but it can be a good idea I think.

Like I said in a comment on the last article, Portal is a game where I've spend many hours, rather days. Portal games are my favorite games since many years now.

This project mostly exist to help me to learn Unreal Engine development, but if I have ideas for a 3rd game, what not ? :P

Yes, it's a very good practice and I think we learn more things with practice than theory, with bugs resolving especially. It's a hard task, but this can teach to us many technics or errors we shouldn't do anymore. :P

In fact, this remaster is an idea I have to learn Unreal Engine development. Taking a game like Portal which I spend many days on it can help to know what I need to do and how result I want to have.
This is a remaster because the game have 10 years old, and technologies used in 2007 are different that what we have now.
