Cheers for the votes! Each one gets the game closer to being released.
Me to! Currently working on getting it onto steam green light :)
Indeed! Because you will be spending most of your time in RTS mode I really want the experience when your inside a vehicle/robot/aircraft not to feel cut down like in many other rts/fps hybrids.
Be my guest :) The more interest the game gets, the likelihood of it finishing faster increases.
Currently using Unity 4 and found it does most of my needs, but will probably move onto UE4 for my next game as the graphics are soooo much nicer! Plus their blueprint thing is just wonderful.
I had a play with the CryEngine and found it was like getting a painting of a dog and if you wanted to make a cat you would have to paint over the top, where as the others were simply a blank canvas....if that makes sense lol.
Hi Elite879,
Cheers for the feedback, I have been wanting a good RTS/FPS combo for a while too so hopefully this will make the grade.
Got exactly what you have asked with accurate and inaccurate weapons. The lasers which are deal damage directly, and the pulse lasers which take a while to get there but deal a bit more damage.
However I've noticed recently that there is a lot more inaccuracy then there should be lol. It's probably a simple fix.
Hi, Yeah more like C&C or Supreme commander or StarCraft except you can go inside the buildings that you build and have to protect with internal defences or bots a bit like Evil Genius. There will be a beta phase coming when I feel it is in a good state. Until then feel free to track its progress and spread the word.
Cheers :) Currently planning on starting with skirmish games where you pick a planet and try and take control of it by defeating the opposing company. On the books are mission based games where you progress through planets with different goals, and multiplayer games if it get enough interest.
How close to the concept art do you think the game will look like in the end?
Yeah, I hope to get some testers on it at some point, but all in good time.
Oh wow!! Didnt know someone was remaking TA! Loved that game.
I suspect if they used Unity as the engine then they are probably using the same explosion system as me:)
Heh, generally cant win with acronyms, As long as everyone call is it Executive Assault or ExecAssault or ExecAss then should be fine....maybe less of the latter :P (unless its full of bugs) But its better then searching for Industry :)
At some point in the future most definitely. Feel free to like the Facebook page for all the latest updates and to find out when testing starts.
You can find it on my talented brothers website along with a selection of his other work:
Cheers! Hopefully will be out mid next year if all goes to plan.
The music was done by Chris Hesketh called 'Wheels of Industry'
I guess I should come clean and admit that yes it is just me working on the game with the help of people in the know. I work 9-6 in film and television and then work 7-late working on Industry. I hope some day with pre-orders to work full time on Industry as I love it soooo much! :D
I love the way the boats bob, they really feel like they are sitting on top of your water.
Oh this game will be coming out :P Just takes a bit of time to add things.
Agreed! Else its just a lovely base design game lol.
Currently working on content now, just finished the pulse and beam lasers, should have a video/picture of them soon.
The game will defiantly include multiplayer, however I am still deciding which system would be best. A traditional RTS lobby where everyone joins at the start, or a more modern server hosting the map and people can join and leave at will. The latter being more of a challenge to implement. I think it could be fun to have 1 CEO running the base and people requesting weapons/tanks/buggies etc based on what tech is available, and if it isnt then you sneak into the enemy base and steal it!
Looks great! Lovely interface too.
I love the way when the doors open in the factories, you see the little arms just finishing off the unit. Little details like that really add to the game.
That would be awesome! Currently working on a graphical update so should be looking a bit nicer soon.
Should be at somepoint. There will be extensive beta testing first though, as you can imagine with all the research things need to be balanced well.
Your videos really do show a lovely looking graphics engine :) I cant wait to see some actual gameplay though. Is it all multiplayer? or will there be a singleplayer side to it too?
