thanks for the comment. we do have a huge problem with collision detection which could not be fixed for the prototype but the performance problem might be fixed with an upgrade to the latest udk. thanks again...

the biggest update is the upgrade from udk aug 2010 to sptember 2011 and some particle effects. please let us know about any bugs you can find.

I'm not sure what's going on but I could see that gamefront is beeing maintenanced. But atm it works. A friend of mine had the same problem but now it works for him too. :) Try again. I can also choose a different mirror even when I'm logged out.

Yes, it would.
We will release the "Vertical Slice" with at least one map and one race to the world for free and for all. The rest depends on the feedback, sponsoring, volunteers and so on... but for the art department we came up with three different races and their background stories in order to create a more detailed world. And since our story writer created this text we thought it would be cool for promo and to show you that this could just be the beginning and how we would move on.

Yes, the Interface is currently in a pre alpha state. That means it is functional but not fully functional until alpha. When it is alpha (feature freeze) I will have to work on the final graphics for it until beta (content freeze).

yes, actually there is. we started to come up with a background story and we thought of three races. we once had an extra story designer but he did not write very much and left our team. maybe we will give you an introduction on the human race soon.

There is no cover system like in dawn of war. There is a bonus depending on the height level you units are standing on but the focus lies mainly on the classes who are different to fight with and their abilities.

If you are a good player you will constantly move forwards and backwards with some of your units so there is no need for the cover system.

Maybe I can ask our game design to show you this in one of the next weeklys. :)
