Keepin' it real deal Holyfield! Please bring back Genesis style boxing games!
Very interesting concept. I really hope the developers expand on this game, as a single scenario, no matter the amount of playthroughs, is somewhat unsatisfying.
I do appreciate the amount of work that was put into the project and again I hope to see more in the future.
This game is sick nasty ! Live it, learn it, play it!
The thing that makes this game great is that it launched with some very high quality maps. The different modes and vehicles make it great. The only CON i have really seen is that my ping/laggyness is all over the place
I really appreciate that this game is still being refined. The basics of the game are all setup and working. As the developer further polishes this, hopefully to a nice bright and shiny finish, I feel this game will go from good to great.
I would also like to mention that I have never played this type of game before and I really hope to see other additions to this boardgame/strategy/RPG-like indie title. I wouldn't mind the inclusion of a smattering of story and possibly further snippets to be found throughout the game and subsequent plays. If lore/story/quests are added possibly even procedurally it would be epic. Unfortunately I have no idea if this is even feasible.
NEO Scavenger has come a long way so far and I hope that it will continue to progress. Anyone who is a fan of roguelikes or anyone who has had trouble playing roguelikes in the past due to the steep learning curve should give this game a shot.
Just prepare to die. You will drown in your internal hemorrhages on more than one occasion. Or fall unconscious and get your head stomped in. Or die of exposure.
Needs controller support. Joy2Key doesn't work very well either.
This is a great game and the ingame chat feature makes it a lot of fun to play online.
Anyone who enjoys turn based RPG, strategy or Roguelikes should give this game a shot. It should also be noted that the game is still under development and continuously being expanded. It has a high degree of polish compared to most indie games available at the alpha or beta stage.
Verdict: Spike Lee says 'BOOM! Just stick it in yo Genesis!' Youtu.be
