Seems very unlikely that this will ever happen, seeing the updates to 25th edition died down quickly.

The main issue I had combining BSPs is the lightmap limit, which hasn't changed in the 25th anniversary build. So there won't be any more combined maps.
Volumetric lights have been in Enriched for a long time..
Looks awesome! Love to see some more larger outdoor sections.
Could you make the thumbnails clickable so it's easier to see the full image?
To be clear: the WON build will still support the full single player campaign. Only the co-op is Steam only.
Xash3d users must see for themselves how well it works. I'm not supporting it.
Swapping to original textures isn't possible because of the scale differences. So if you want that, you'd have to play the original Half-Life.
Or go ahead and make your own MOD to suit your personal needs. Here's some info to get you started: Twhl.info
Did you unpack the zip file? It then should give you an 'enriched' folder with all the contents. This folder needs to be in the 'half-life' folder. You'll have to restart Steam for it to show up in your games list.
This MOD supports legal Half-Life versions, not Xash. You can play it on Xash if you like but you'll probably experience stuff like that. Bro... I guess?
I forgot to include t he WON dlls, yes. They'll be in the next update.
I haven't experienced that myself but I'll try to replicate it. Good to hear the texture issue is fixed on your end. The last Valve update seemed to adress some rendering issues so that might have been it.
The new updates do seem to fix most issues with MODs. There are still some minor things I need to adress but it seems Valve is pushing updates every other day now so I'm going to wait a bit for things to become fixed and stable before attempting to update Enriched.
Those things are fixed in the next version.
25th anniversary edition broke all mods. Use the steam_legacy build instead in the properties tab of Half-Life.
Yes, but it'll take some time to figure out what the issue is with the update. It might even take a while for Valve to fix whatever they changed here. In the meantime, you can set your game to steam_legacy mode to play Enriched (and other MODs)
Seems I did! I'll add a new one in the next build. You can use the one from the previous build in the meantime. It might lack some stuff but it'll work for now.
It will still have the DM mode, but I'm not going to redo any of the deathmatch levels. So the menu will be focussed on co-op, but you could still start a DM mode if you know how to set up a server.
The only thing you can customize about your player is the model colours with the sliders in the mulitplayer menu.
I'm not sure why this happens to you. Glass uses embedded lightmaps, which should just be supported. What version of HL are you using? If it's the most recent Steam version, be sure not to use any WON files. What videocard does your PC use?
Not going to do anything about the deathmatch maps. The multiplayer part will be co-op only. I haven't considered bots so far. Not sure about those.
I'm not going to do Uplink. I would rather move on to something new after this.
That's really cool and very well made!
You'll need to check if you have installed the files correctly. Check the readme. Make sure you use a legit version of Half-Life.
I'm doing this mainly because it's my hobby and I enjoy working on it. So even if alternatives exist, why would that matter?
This might be strange to understand for some, but I'm not dedicating my free time 'in service' of the general public. I'm doing it because I enjoy myself.
There are a few new variants already but I'm not planning more at the moment.
That's fine. Make sure to mention that it's still in development!
Haven't looked at it yet, but I'll keep it in mind!
No, I'm keeping to the original 1998 version of Half-Life. Not adding anything to retrofit any lore that came in later versions.
I agree with you that the design of the map can make the gauss pickup a bit underwhelming. The solutions you propose could work but I agree that option 1 is a bit too cheap. Option 2 alters the original design a bit too much, imho. To really sell the idea of immediatly using the gauss, it'll require a more thourough redesign, which I'm not really considering anymore at this point in the development. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

As long as I've been playing games I've wanted to make my own. Captivated by the possibilities of level editors, I started mapping in 1996 for Doom II. Then Half-Life came out in 98 and I was making my own Goldsource worlds. As online gaming became bigger, I found Sven Co-op in 2000 for which I made countless maps and content, including Land of Legends, which became a standalone MOD in 2009. My latest SC project (suspension) was released in 2018. Since 2008 I've picked up Source mapping and worked on maps for Resistance and Liberation and worked on a discontinued MOD called "An Open Window". In 2012 I created Uplink for Black Mesa and started a remake in 2015, which is still in development. In 2018 I revisted Half-Life with a new SP MOD called Anti-Climax, released in March 2019.
