great patch!
Even the way you write makes me dislike you. And looks like I'm not alone in that feeling. Please, stop trolling. In two words, gtfo. This is an amazing modification, and people are putting tremendous effort in recreation detail.
If the creator of this mod would like to join a team that is currently working on a patch and on a next majesty expansion, please PM me.

Nothing to update. I am working on translating the expansion to English, Russians are having fun with it for almost a week now.
To charge, use the attack action. It can be set by raw units like "hunter" or "warrior", or a tag "enemy_unit" or any other name you come up with.
THe AI does not support the resurrection script; you will have to write a respawn program.
In order to know more, I suggest you download an Editor manual from the official website, under User Modifications (cant miss it, it's 1st thread). It covers 95% of basic triggers and tasks that you may be interested in now.

The Cold Rise has been released in Russian! This means that the English version is on its way ;)

There are 3 more days to go before the Russian release, and we are very serious about that date. This means that English version moves from "soon" state to "very soon" :)
The devs are having fun with closed beta. We need some more tests to ensure that everything works correctly. Then we'll be relizin' the Russian version. And as soon as the translation is ready, the English version :) Stay tuned. Just a few more weeks of patience.
Additionally, about the "real size" buildings suggestion. Not a very good suggestion. One of our team members did that, and the results were pretty poor. The relationship "environment textures-building size-unit size-light" is not as good. Everything looks over-sized and out of place. It's not as easy as simply taking all buildings and multiply the size by 2.
well, not everyone is 14 years old you know. We grew on these games.
I enjoy the process as much as I want it to be released. When I release it there will be nothing for me to play with :) It's more about my egocentric satisfaction with modding this game than anything else I guess :)
But It will come out some day, that's for sure. Simply because I have a rule that what has been started should be finished.
The amount of work that has to be done. A lot of work with models, retexturing, cutting buildings to pieces, converting, adding values, creating def files for units, spells, adjusting everything up. For example, a mod like X-mod or Reloaded play with existing values, while Warcraft expansion will be creating those files from scratch.
And the fact that I have a life, of course. I don't want to spend 24/7 on it. Plus, I'm working alone on this one. So don't expect anything. Or at least, don't wait for something to happen quickly.
Our game is a stand alone - you do not need any previous Majesty 2 versions to play it. It is not an expansion. I'm thinking about the best way to send you 2gb with all the required tools.
Warcraft part is very far on the horizon, most likely it will come out somewhere around Summer 2012.

... And we are still WIP :) We are testing the levels, and creating new ones. It's hard to stop when you are into it :) We still need people who would agree to test the levels we make. One of our major goals in to generate content of outstanding quality, but it takes much longer to make everything "blizz-like". Keep tracking.
A lot of improvement has been done in the last weeks. The AI attack and defence algorithms were rewritten. Temple algorithms were changed. More buildings are allowed for construction. The AI properly researches all potions, elixirs and new weapons.
A new map type has been introduced. Now, all multiplayer will have AI computer player integrated. It will check whether a real player is present in the game or not, and if not, it will replace the empty space with the AI.
New maps are being created. Expect a large single and MP map pack. Keep tracking.
we are barely in a competition because our modding essence is different. You are making a game modification by improving it while we are making a new game basically =)
The map will be rebalanced with new mechanics.
Its very poorly done and totally unbalanced.. Put more effort in your maps.
This is a totally unbalanced, ridiculously difficult map.
The problem with this map that the author uses wandering monsters instead of spawned creatures. As a result, the map is almost unbarably difficult, because from the firs days you are bombarded with skeleton veterans, snipers and even vampires. Your only chance for survival is to build a few cleric guilds, and upgrade towers.
Now, if you somehow manage to survive this madness for a while, there is nothing left out to do on the map. All the monsters are dead, no new units spawn. Destroying another castle is piece of cake. Very weak heroes, no aggressive tactics.
No work was done on the terrain, only basic placeholders to have the direction for you. No triggers were used at all.
I can't even point out any visible pros. A very poor, unbalanced map.
