Hey, first of all you should increase the contrast of your images, because it's hard to see.
All if your images are probably done right from your mind, which is a good thing, because you're trying to realize the ideas you have in mind. However, if you're working with your mind only, your images will only conclude stuff that you have memorized before. As you haven't studied human anatomy and didn't study real weapon models, your sketches look rather comic-ish. If you want to show something, you should study your subject before, so you really know what that object makes it look like being exactly that object and nothing else. Also, your sketches are only consisting of contourlines and aren't rendered at all (mostly). You should always practice what you suck most at, so you're getting more and more flawless.
I recommend you to do some research on the net, have a look for tutorials (deviantart.com offers a lot too) on how to draw.
Hope that helped!
Well for most of em i went with a cartoonish look in all honesty for these charchters (well the recent ones ) but i couldnt upload some of the more recent ones where i tryed to make em look real to a degree (as far as my skills let me ), i did use reffrences from the net in their desings in order to help me figure out their look , i also took reffrences for the weapons but at some of the sketches tryed to adapt them a little and change them . And i am trying to improve as far as anatomy goes , i am trying my best to improve there , i didnt shade or color them mostly so that the guys makeing this stuff to see them more clear , and im saveing them for when i start learning photoshop and get my tablet so i dont screw something on them up .
(oh and also i realize they are abit too light especially tis hard to see here on mnoddb , i will try to adjust them when i learn photoshop )
But yeah thanks for the critics
Anatomy is not only about knowing that a human can be divided into 8 parts. It's about knowing every single muscle, so you can shade it correctly. Takes years to learn that, give it a try. Also, there is a big lack of details and it's one thing to make worksheets for the modeller and another to do concept art. You're somewhere in the middle of it at the moment.
Yeah i know i have quite a few shaded pictures its just that moddb doesnt allow me to post them due to larger size for some reason , although tehy should be about the same size as the other pics
cant you resize the pics a bit smaller instead?
nice concept
