I've always loved the concept art for this game, the dynamicness of the trees, the amazing landscape designs and composition is what made it stand out, and also reminded me of films like Princess Mononoke, and Howl Moving Castle.

To me though it feels like the style of the concepts has not carried through into the 3D assets and level design which I find disappointing, too generic, why not try going for the stylized painterly look of the concepts? Still its early days yet :)

I think one thing that was important in the concepts is the boldness of the brush lines and the paint like way the edges of some objects disintegrate into the air, like the end of the scarf or the tree leaves. I think this could be of help to you, obviously its a very different project however how they have created a painted look to objects could really benefit this game I think De-giovi.squarespace.com I would also recommend experimenting with making a custom post process material and using more unlit shaders, I think that could be all it would need to bring it to life.

I see what you mean, apart from the £10 difference, I think the main difference is that this game focuses on local multiplayer and using the other persons screen as much as your own whereas Kieru looks to be a very typical online team slaughter kind of setup. In short this game feels to me like a cross between Kieru and Screen Cheat.

I played the game today, its totally amazing, really fun indeed.

Any chance of online multiplayer in future? I understand the importance of split screen to this game but that's no reason it cant be online, there's a game called "Screen Cheat"which has split screen even with online.

Also would it be possible to add 3 - 4 player matches? I can imagine this would be really fun with 3 - 4 people!

There is lots of interesting touches like the blink for example. I couldn't work out what it would be useful for at first but then I realized it was perfect for making ambushes, it stops the other player looking at your screen to see where you are, but obviously if you know where you are then you can just use their screen to work out when to strike!

Love the team choosing menu, that works really well and the winning screen is really nice, its good having the playback thing there so you can laugh at each other messing up.

fair enough, looking forward to see what you do whatever!

I'm also watching with interest from a game dev's perspective as I am also an indie UE4 dev making a dragon game which will have a lot of similar technical challenges to your game.

I'm currently trying to work out how to get online multiplayer working, I'm guessing this is something you will also be interested in doing at some point? maybe we can help each-other out at some point, I like the independence of being a single dev but some stages need collaboration to work out from my experience.

Its good having the effects on now, I thought the dodge and counter attack looked quite odd before but with those white momentum steaks and the blood it looks fantastic :)

I would also love to see the titans face animated, imagine him scowling when he sees you've made that counter!

I think the centrifugal force of a fast spinning planet could have a similar effect and would be more likely to happen, however thinking about it that would create a cylinder type world as opposed to a spherical one.

btw my comment wasn't aimed at you specifically, I think personally running up the arm would be pretty damn cool but maybe that would be tricky to do, anyway I trust Guedinaot to make the right choice considering how good everything looks so far. Although I still want to see that titan change expressions, that would be so creepy but I suppose that isn't very important compared with actual gameplay related stuff.

I wouldn't worry about other people view's on difficulty until all the main gameplay functionality is done if I were you, after all there isn't even a download yet as far as I know so no one has played it, only you know if it is hard enough right now!

Many games have got ruined in the past buy developers listening to the more vocal part of the community, who are actually often just a select few not, not representative of what the majority want from the game. I just wanted to say, don't let people push your game in directions you don't want it to go.

Loving the video, some of the animations could do with a little bit of tweaking like where the wolf is off the ground when stretching, also when the wolf walks/ runs the stomach gets pushed in a disturbing amount when the back leg goes forward... but they are really good and do really bring it to life!

I recon it would be pretty cool if the titan's expression changed to angry every time it misses you and smiles when it gets you, or it thinks you are coming into reach, that would be really cool and damn creepy!

Haha, cool, looking forward to seeing how this goes.

I would love to see more detail on the landscape though personally, trees bushes and perhaps a bit more vertexes, I know your going for the low Polly style which is great but I would enjoy some small hills to sneak behind or get up on to view further, anyway, just some ideas!

Here is a little game I have been doing recently, its a local multiplayer game where one person is a rabbit and the other is a fox Thecheesedragon.itch.io

Yeah, annoys me that usually you only get to kill animals in games so this would be a nice change!

personally I much prefer the style of the original map and I find the ui saying if your ability is ready a bit big and intrusive, I think it would be nice if it were a small bar at the side, and maybe it could go blue or something to show it is ready instead of bringing up the writing, but apart from that I really enjoy it, the flying is hard but satisfying :)

is there a way to play on the old map? maybe you could add an option to choose maps when you host a game because I prefer the look of the old one so im sad to see it go altogether.

I really like the game so far :) I find it hard to chase anyone let alone shoot them down but the movement is very satisfying. I think it would be good if the explosions from missiles were a lot bigger so you could damage people by hitting nearby walls or damage yourself if you flew into your own explosion and I love that you can choose weapon combinations!

Is there any big changes to any of the levels in the update? I completed it but I would be interested in downloading it and playing it some more if there are any big changes.

I am making a game in UE4 at the moment where you play as a dragon, its at quite an early stage of development at the moment, here is a video: Youtube.com

cool, it could work with already existing game mechanics, you can already through the torch so if you through it onto the ground you just need a way to stamp on it which could be the same as kicking if you were going to add that.

Hmm fire putting out tools.... water would be impractical dew to how heavy it is to carry lots of water. You could put a flaming torch on the ground and stamp on it to put it out. Otherwise you could use a piece of leather or your cloak (if the character has one) to smother it. Using your cloak would probably burn holes in it but if its a matter of life and death then who cares about a few holes. The other option is if there were pools of water in certain parts of the level it could bring in a puzzle aspect, deciding whether to use water when it is available.

I would definitely be interested in trying it if you could sent me a link that would be excellent!

That's annoying about the post... There are thousands of far worse games on here that get approved. Did you email them? form my experience it usually works although they can take a couple of weeks to get back to you. When I first tried setting up my game on Indie DB they rejected it, I cant remember what it was they rejected it for but I sent them an email and posted on a forum about it and they approved it.

yeah looks like it will be really fun and atmospheric. I can't wait to see the enemy's and how the combat will work. I can imagine the stealth mechanics in the game being really fun. It might be cool if you could put out lights and hide in the shadows to avoid enemy's that need light to see wile others might be afraid of light so you could ward them of with it.

I like how you have to light your touch from something that is already burning, not like in most games where you can mysteriously store lit flaming torches in your inventory..... it is stupid when they do that

what modelling program are you using for this? and what tools did you use for the scales?

I am making a game where you play a dragon and I used ZBrush to make the dragon but I couldn't get the scales to look as good as that. (I have not put this project on Indie db yet)
