I am learning a little coding, but mostly i am just great at coming up with ideas for story, and units, as well as feedback. Mod Idea WIP, 3 paths

i had an idea for a mod and another and more, and i think i have a good idea for something to create, a CnC3 mod mostly based on GDI and Nod, will update Scrin but Scrin is more of a mystery. keep in mind i cannot model i can only code but i am open for anyone who wants to contribute models

I say 3 paths for a reason after building a Power Plant a Player gains access to a Barracks (basing off GDI but the effects will be on all 3) the Barracks is then required to build an Armory, War factory and Airfield (the refinery does not need a barracks) building any one of those 3 will take a long while potentially around 5 mins, possibly less on the armory. the idea here is to give the player 3 options ergo 3 paths, the player can take to the skies with an airfield, produce vehicles and armor with a Warfactory, or gain access to improved infantry with the Armory (getting 1 of these i will call tier 1.5). I want players to have to work more on the early game as opposed to jumping up the tech tiers while also adding more benefits to doing so. increasing the build times on these structures will make it cost less per second, so you would also potentially have the resources to play the early game and advance at the same time. building a Command center may take an extra 5 mins (depending on how i can get it to code either it requires tier 1.5 or if i cant attach it that way it will require the barracks and take 10 mins) a tech center will take an extra 7.5 mins, and the space command Uplink again another 7.5 mins (remember those PACs and how annoying they were? now think about how long it will take for Scrin to get them based on this)

Armory and equivalents will be buffed, they may unlock more units based on the balance and the upgrades will be more potent, Composite Armor for instance will be a stronger buff to allow infantry to fight more evenly with vehicles, lower tier infantry will also get access to Power packs and Scanner packs, also a interesting note on a plan i have is to allow crossfactional upgrades, this will allow nod soldiers to take the benefit of composite armor, scanner packs, and power packs, while GDI soldiers can use Tiberium infusion and get a confessor to make sure they don't revert to GDI. if i could make the upgrades faction specific i would but dont know how, i would like to make it so if you were GDI you would get instead of confessors, officers, and instead of infusion an Tiberium field suit, that way it would fit in more storywise and the views of the factions.

Airfield will of course have to come with a greater variety of aircraft there is just no other way around that with this setup, in order for air to be a viable option there must be options in air. the Airfield will also have a major focus on support powers and especially reinforcement powers. now you might be thinkig 5 mins to build an airfield how will this work if you want more than 4 aircraft? the answer is of course the Combat support airfield, i don't know how to extract from Kane's Wrath if you could help i would enjoy several things from Kane's Wrath, in that absence i will reuse the airfield model and just remove the ability to build from it, while also making it cheaper and 30 secs to build.

Warfactory, not much more to say here its a War factory and the base version gives more than enough benefit not to mention the additions i will make to its complement. War factory will have no focus on support powers its pure vehicles and tankage

now after coming up with this i saw an issue that the harvester that i enjoy building is built from the War Factory, it would be unbalancing if you could only get the harvester from the warfactory, so the solution is simple: players can build a harvester from their Construction yard with a refinery requirement.

Harvesters:
Harvester Mk.2: Base version Construction yard built, the idea calling it the Mk.2 is that it comes from the second Tiberium war, now a Tiberian Sun Harvester would be nice, otherwise again i will just use the base harvesters, the Harvy Mk.2 has no special abilities like the Mk.3 aka no gun, no stealth, no healing, this harvester is slower, has more armor, and a larger capacity, it has nothing to deter enemies.
Harvester Mk.3: the harvester Mk.3 has special abilities that deter harassment, these are the original CnC3 harvesters
GDI: i will modify the GDI harvester the only thing that peashooter can deter is basic infantry that don't counter the harvester, i remember the soviet harvester for RA2 could actually deter harassment and often found them to gain veterancy in the proccess, in order to bring the GDI harvester up to Par, i am increasing its range to be on par with other vehicle mounted machine guns, the original version also uses a burst fire 3 shots per burst i find allowing it to fire full auto in combination with the range increase allows it to be just as effective as the soviet harvester used to be, and can gain veterancy levels (i didn't have to monkey with veterancy to do that, it always had the ability just none of the capability).
Nod: the Nod harvester's stealth is the most effective of the 3, the enemy not seeing it means it isnt attacked, the only real change i am planning to make is allowing it to get the Emp coils upgrade and perhaps the doser blades.
Scrin: before EA patched it the Scrin harvester when destroyed would release an ion storm, i played that unpatched version a bit and i can tell you it was completely unbalanced, if you killed the harvester then the units that done it got killed in return, however the Scrin Harvester was balanced on that, i dont think the healing in Tiberium is enough so i am making modifications, first you can combine the harvester with buzzers you know the ability, i will try and make the ability more useful, in relation to the ion drive i have some ideas to work with that, the Ion drive is very powerful when damaged the harvester releases more ion energy, this increase in energy allows it to move faster instead of slower, when destroyed the harvester may also get a bigger explosion and damage nearby units, especially if it was crushed. i would also like to allow the harvester to use first the attenuated force fields and then the full force fields, depending on if i can implement them.

I will add some greater infantry differentiation.
adding more mutant units and benefits with tech structures.
GDI and Nod can unlock units, structures and upgrades with the tier 4 structre, Space uplink, Tiberium chemical plant, and signal transmitter 2.
more defenses (CnC3s are pathetic, and have several ideas for adding more)
all-round will be new infantry vehicles and aircraft, same old models new weapons and abilities.
also i plan on giving Scrin units a lot more conversion abilities like the Devourer tank.

GDI Mammoth tank HEAA (Mammoth like the predator uses HE projectiles from the main cannon replaces general purpose missiles with AA)
Nod Mantis (a Stealth tank minus stealth plus armor can build earlier cheaper faster)

Dorothea: Our Union is a strong one, we have faced much adversity, and stand as one of the worlds leading economies. But we are held back by a lack of Political/military unity. For many Decades we have depended on the Military Strength of the United States, Our engagements were their engagements, and their engagements ours. We are now faced with a Problem The United States is no Longer United, it is no longer even a state, The entity that was the United States Government Lies in Shambles, their Military now does not even have a quarter of the strength it once did and is in Disarray. We can No longer Depend on this Force and now rely Solely on our own.
people are Crying out from all over the world, for help removing Oppressive Governments, for a means which to increase trade, for help to rise out of Poverty. Obama: Yes Thank You, as you all know I was until recently the President of the United States of America. We Forgot the Number one Concern of the Leadership of a Nation, and that would be we failed to listen to the American People, and for our ignorance our democracy fell apart. It pains me to know that the American people are suffering for my mistakes and the mistakes of my colleagues. We rank amok of what it means to be a democracy and i wish to atone, I know i can never make up for what has happened, but i want to do all in my power to fix the situation, and to bring Peace an Order to the Great American People. Fall of Nations, Fall of the First Nation

This story is based on real world events, the plot-line here is one possible future of the world and the outcome is very possible.

depending upon the outcome of current events may call for alteration of this story but i hope that when the mod is released it will be based on up to date information and not just the outdated information that is available now, hey this is 1 possible future I cant say what will happen between now and mod completion, i can just predict possible futures.

Back in 2011 a series of movements arose known as occupy movements show up in major american metropolitan areas, including New York, Atlanta Georgia, Washington DC, and Oakland California. They take with them the lessons of the last generation and practice Civil Disobedience, non-violent protesting in the spirit of the civil rights activist a generation before them. They hold many complaints, the top 1% of the country holds 40% of its wealth, the lack of jobs, the CEOs who are destroying their own corporations putting their employees out of work while they retire with billions of dollars that rightfully should belong to those that worked under them. But most of all they are sad the government does not appear to be paying attention to the economic downturn, the government is too busy pointing fingers and paying no heed to the rising crisis, they are disheartened with a government that will not listen to them, and in a democracy such issues are integral to the inner workings of the system.

The year is 2015 (approx release date): The economy has continued to suffer, tensions in Congress are at a peak, neither side willing to budge, on top of it a president who is helpless without Congress cooperating and passing bills. the people are angry and the occupy movements grow, not only are there major movements in every major city, but all over the suburban and rural areas people are rising, unemployment is at an all time high , the conditions are to the point as to make the Great depression of the 1930s look like a time of prosper. Tensions rise further, the national guard is called in to "protect the peace" in the major city centers with the biggest movements, Protesters are outraged the government instead of listening to their legitimate issues, and making solutions to their problems are instead showing off military strength to quell the protesters. Protesters become more aggressive they throw stones at the soldiers, and curse them for not backing up the people.

While many soldiers in the National Guard have mixed feelings even some agreeing with the protesters, they have their duty, their orders. in the turmoil of riots, one in DC gets to the peak, a soldier has lost his calm and shoots into the crowd, 1 person dies a child, 2 others are mortally wounded. For the protesters this is the breaking point, they have been shot at, occupy movements all across the country are turned into full blown riots, the military is called in, tanks roll through the streets, helicopter gunships hover overhead. military commanders are called to use deadly force to quell the rioters, several commanders disobey orders and release the news, to the public, they are branded as traitors. Renegade commanders quickly attach themselves to rioters, no longer is the event a massive riot, the occupy protesters now call themselves the rebellion, the revolution sweeps the country, fighting all around, a bloodbath the likes of which has never been seen before in american history.

In the aftermath both armies are exhausted, the cities of the United States lie in ruins, people forced out of their homes take shelter in the Lincoln Memorial, warming their hands near a lit oil drum, shots can be heard in the distance the last of the fighting ends in Washington, the victor is not clear and it no longer matters, the government officials left are devoid of any power, they can no longer fight, they can no longer enforce, the government of the once mightiest nation lies in shambles no longer capable of wielding a fighting force.

The destruction of the United States leaves a power vaccume, which world power will now become the Hegemon, the ruler of the world, and which Nations Will Fall.

The Tiberium Secrets Capture Mechanic

Tiberium Secrets Mixing up an old Mechanic the detailed version: The Capture Mechanic

At one point in time a while Ago I proposed to Umbrella Secrets that we Rework the old Capture Mechanic, the Testimony that I Gave is that the Capture Mechanic is too Unrealistic (I mean an Engineer enters a Structure and he doesn’t have to deal with the guys inside, ridiculous), and Also it is too Easy (engineer garrisoned APCs bring engineers to base and start capturing things). To Fix both of these Problems I Suggested that we Require the player to Combine their Engineers With Basic Infantry Squads at least that is how some Factions will Work.

GDI, Nod, D51, and ASI all have engineer Type units, and they must be combined with a rifle Squad to
Capture Structures, only GDI, Nod, and D51 structures are capturable this way. The ASI Structures are fully Autonomous and do not require management from the outside (ASI engineers will not be able to repair their structures, but Dozers will take care of that function), however this Makes ASI structures exceptionally vulnerable to hacking (ASI as a Whole is vulnerable to hacking). Most Units and structures when hacked are just shut down for a period of time, but with Autonomous Units comes with the issue that they can be hacked and their control systems completely rewritten, meaning when ASI units and structures are Hacked they get captured by the Hacker.


Silly engineer don't you know ASI structures must be Hacked and can't be captured by you.

The Scrin and Colony will be able to freely capture Each others structures, they don't have to worry about Earth Forces capturing their Structures, and as Well they Cannot capture Earth Forces Structures (though Colony may be able to infect structures in a form of capture).

Because we figured it might be too bumming always combining your Engineers with basic Infantry Squads,we gave them extra Capabilities.

The GDI Engineer can Be affected By a medical training upgrade, with this upgrade the engineer will be able to heal the members of the rifle squad he is placed in.

Instead of the Nod Saboteur capturing buildings, when thought it would be sporting to make capturing the job of the Confessor. The Confessor must be purchased separate from the militant squad, and then combined, the Confessor will then add his own firepower to the squad as well as increasing their effectiveness.

D51 Engineers have the extraordinary capability to Hack, their Hacking works in the way I stated above, on most it just shuts things down but on the poor Autonomous ASI it captures.

ASI Engineers when combined with their Squads will be capable of Deploying into a small Tech Centrum Moddb.com , which will increase the speed and effectiveness of all ASI units in its range, and decrease that for enemy units, also it acts as a Gap Generator.

Civilian Game-play Mechanic

Urgent: Must be read by all Commanders attempting to delve into the Secrets of Tiberian Secrets.

Civilians have been sighted on the Battlefield

Commanders must be aware of how to react appropriately to these innocent people so as to maximize their strength. be aware not only of how you must react but how your enemies will react and plan accordingly.

Civilians:
Civilians will show up in 6-7 man squads, they are unarmed and incapable of fighting. They will act similarly to how they did in Command and Conquer Generals. which means that the squads will often be found packed in groups, and most often near dwellings, when attacked civilians will often run from enemy forces. Civilians like normal soldiers are harmed by Tiberium, but unarmored civilians are highly vulnerable to the substance, they will make an effort to avoid it.

Factional Uses of civilians:

The Global Defense Initiative:
It is tragic that civilians can get caught in the crossfire of opposing factions fighting, GDI prizes the support of these men and women. Due to these circumstances GDI Commanders are to protect the safety of these innocents, GDI Command posts (Tier 2 tech structure) enable the use of a support power with a very short cool-down that calls in an Ox air transport to a civilian squad in the field where the civilians will be picked up and carried off the field from the direction of the Command post. The Ox is vulnerable during the process but engineers have worked hard to boost the speed and armor of these Oxes, as well they must be targeted manually. Successful evacuation of the civilians will result in a bonus from GDI command. If the enemy manages to kill the civilian laden Ox then they will receive the bonus.

The Brotherhood of Nod:
The brotherhood makes use of the poor and disenfranchised they just need to be shown the light and will henceforth become loyal servants of Kane. the brotherhood has unlocked the production of Confessors, they now can be produced separately from a squad of militants, use the Confessor's Secondary ability to capture the civilians, where they will be sent to the brotherhood Secret Shrine for processing and be released as soldiers (these soldiers may have undergone enhancements). once transformed into servants of the brotherhood the process cannot be reversed and bonuses cannot be won from them. If the confessor is killed while guiding the civilians, then the civilians return to a neutral state. More on the confessors will be released at a later date, but bear in mind that Confessors will have more purposes than guiding civilians.

The Scrin Invasion Force:
Civilians are quite feeble minded, and do not require much convincing to turn to the Scrin. Scrin Assimilatiors (engineer unit) have been granted the ability to bug civilians squads at melee range this simple mind control allows Scrin players to move and see with the civilians, these civilians will show up as neutral to any enemies and can only be found out with detection units/structures, the civilians can hide which allows them to stealth while still the may also have been infected with a deadly contagion (infect nearby infantry use is TBD). These corrupted civilians are easily recaptured simply use your own faction's Civilian capture method.

The All Seeing Army:
Humans are so pathetic, really the only thing they were good for was building the All Seeing Intelligence Mainframe (ASIM)(Artificial intelligence commander of the ASA) . Humans have outlived their usefulness if they wont serve ASIM then simply eliminate them, kill them all, do this and ASIM will grant you a bonus for their destruction. Yes this does mean that Scrin trying to use civilians to infiltrate the All Seeing Army is just about useless.

The Colony:
Of all the humans that can be transformed into zombies civilians are among the easiest. the transformation process enacted on them, takes shortest amount of time compared to enemy infantries, their abilities may be more numerous than their armed counterparts, possibly extending to powerful Tiberium shard launchers extending from their arms and suicide capabilities detonating the Liquid Tiberium that they have been infused with. If the unit conducting transformation on the civilians is destroyed during the process the civilians may be inflicted with Tiberium poisoning and will have a short window in which they can be recovered before they die, use Factional civilian capture method.

Dream Army 51:
The Code, creed sworn oath of the Elite is to serve the People, to Protect them, and Defend their Best interests. The president of the Area 51 forces agrees with this creed and has done his best to facilitate its being carried out in the Dream Army. Dream Army APCs have a secondary ability that allows them to pick up civilians to fill their garrison slot. The APC will then return the civilians to the base where they can be kept in one of three structures first the Tiberium Research Center (only one can be built at a time), the Tiberium Research center acts to increase the income of each harvester load so as to maximize wealth, the structure also allows for upgrades to be unlocked by entering civilians into the structure (up to 3 permanent garrisons), these upgrades enhance the harvester's speed, capacity, or defensive capability (gun/stealth/heal). The Second is the Hospital (only 1 can be built at a time) on its own the structure can heal up to 4 infantry squads at a time, entering 1 civilian squad will decrease the time needed to heal, another civilian squad should allow the structure to heal all friendly infantries (like RA3). The Third Structure is a Civilian Barracks, this structure was built for the housing and maintaining of civilians, they in turn may provide benefits from their that I have not yet determined, this could range from providing a credit stream, reducing the cost of producing units and structures, or even turn the structure into an extra fortified bunker, it is really to early to tell. all of these structures are connected underground to a Civilian Center, that is a prerequisite for the others, if one of the other structures is destroyed then the civilians will be transmitted to the Civilian Center where they will be flown off. If the civilian center is destroyed first then destruction of any of the other structures releases the civilians onto the field. if there is no room left in your base to house civilians then you can use the Civilian Center to fly them off, there is no bonus for this, your main advantage here is keeping them from your enemies.

Evasion: capable of avoiding half of all enemy fire while standing still, while moving their evasion is increased allowing them to avoid 80% of all enemy fire
Speed: inhumanly fast
Passive Ability: heroic heal (at start)
Special Abilities: Fast Step
Highly capable of cutting down any infantry or Mech in one strike as their plasma swords cut through flesh easily and even are effective against heavy armor. their speed is unbelievable allowing them to quickly reach their enemies to cut them down. Fast Step is an ability that allows them to expend their strength in moving faster than the human eye can track, they can only do so for short distances, when targeted at a squad of enemy infantry or a Mech the elite swordsman will immediately cut the target(s) down.


The Elites: story

The Elites are a force that stretches back to the times of the United States, before Tiberium. They are extra governmental working solely for the good of the people, but will join the forces of any state that they see will serve the same purpose. They are kept secret a force that cannot be used lightly but in the circles of people who know of their existence, they are legendary. They only take the best into their training program, volunteers only, and a trained for several years, by the time they complete their training their life is of the elite squad and they can never assimilate back into normal society (ergo why they only take volunteers). They study strategy and tactics extensively, the weak spots of their enemies, the strength of their weapons, and martial arts. All of the training is aimed at the goal of making the best, the strongest, and the most undefeatable fighting force in the world. They tend to be given access to the most advanced technology that can be afforded to them and they can use that technology to their benefit. To date not a single Elite soldier has ever been killed in battle.
When the UN first created the Global Defence Initiative, many elite squads were pressed into service with GDI. GDI however is too strong, they do not see much great benefit in the skills of the elite, and therefore don’t use them so much, this is why we have not seen them till now. GDI elites currently have access to GDI’s latest and greatest Zone suits,as well as railguns, railcarbines (weapon of the commando), sonic grenades (Zone Raiders). meanwhile Area 51 managed to keep some elite squads, they have only 2 teams (12 members in all) at this time, but the Dream army is much smaller than GDI’s, they are forced to use all of the assets available to them and that means they have to use the Elites as a front-line unit. the Elite swordsmen of the Dream 51 army also have access to Area 51 technology, they have modified swords made with a plasma coating that allows them to slice through thick armor. Their suits are made of a special material that is very sleek, and allows them to work to their full potential. It further seems as though their bodies have been tampered with allowing them to move much faster than would seem possible, react with insane speed, allowing them to dodge many shots fired at them. Still much about them is clouded in mystery but what is clear is that they are a force to be reckoned with, and THEY WILL NOT BE IGNORED.
The elites of the two states do keep in contact, they are starting to age and are looking to produce another squad of elites, but there is a problem, between GDI and Area 51 the pool that they find eligible for becoming elite too small, 5 members from both factions that they can see as capable of being made into a new squad, they will need a sixth to form another squad. As is the time of the elites is ending, soon enough as they all age, the Elites will fade and be no more.
